If they lose a lot of money cuz of it it isn't only the billionaires who loses, its the people who would lose their jobs too. So while it may seem like a couple cents to millionaires it may affect someone's way of life.

They made the decision to offer the free sizers. If it starts negatively impacting business, they can easily suspend the service.

I did this with a different website and got a plastic one. They offered a free paper one as well if you wanted to go print one right away instead of waiting for the plastic one in the mail.
I just searched up ring sizer in Google and saw a paper one from Macy's so I printed it and did everything that was needed and found my ring size and it's accurate.
I did this on a different engagement ring website for my wife's ring. We got a plastic sizer in the mail, no catch! I think it's complimentary because if you're looking for a ring on their website, they don't want you to decide to get measured elsewhere and then buy your ring with whoever measured you. (My wife and I did just use the sizer and then bought a different ring off Etsy). The cost of losing their plastic sizers is probably negligible compared to the customer retention they get by offering this. I think she’s implying it’s because you’re not buying from that specific company, which offers it free in the hopes you’ll buy from them. But it’s not like you’re signing a contract with them to buy a ring in exchange, and they understand most people won’t. So it’s not unethical

It’s probably only like $10-$20 usd for a giant bag of them, and very inexpensive to send them out in envelopes 🤷🏻♀️ so honestly, while the people packing them might be a bit frustrated, pretty much all the higher ups and sales team will be thrilled, particularly if it ends up turning into sales

Yes but remember that not all sizers are made the same, and your sizer may not be the same as the one that the maker has, the best way you can get your size is searching for another ring, one that fits your finger, it can be a key ring, a bottle neck or a hoop earring anything round that doesn't move or deform, then you grab a ruler and put it ok top, then you count the millimeters or whatever you use of the diameter(across the middle of the ring) it's not true that it's not accurate, if you did it well all the rings that have the same diameter will fit you.
I accidentally got a bunch of free pretty fabric swatches because I was briefly considering buying a chair from a furniture store. I didn't know what color I wanted and asked for the free fabric swatches. They sent me a BOX of swatches of all of their fabrics! Another idea is that if you live close to a chain jewelry store (like fred meyer jewelers), uou can just request someone to measure you. That way you dont have to eait a week
There’s a ring sizer app. It’s super accurate. Just take a ring that already fits you and put it on your screen and drag the circle until it’s the same circumference and then it’ll give you the size and measurements. Super accurate.
