Hello .. here in Mexico, this car had a version that was called Fiera VI .. had a powerful 6-cylinder Chevrolet engine 250 cubic centimeters. Come with standard transmission of 3 changes more reverse, was the lever on the steering wheel .. was very fast that car, very good, now they are classic ..
This is a 4 cylinder with open carburetor ... Great sound. You mean Opel Commodre A, there are 6 cylinders, one with and without an injector ... Opel Commodre Steinmetz has 6 cylinders .... Opel Rekord has 4 cylinders ... ruclips.net/video/J_PgLZaBED8/видео.html Here 6 cylinders ... ruclips.net/video/_P6Tcttay7s/видео.html ... and here 4 cylinders ... the black widow. (unauthorized races without permission from GM .... Niki Lauda drove the black widow! from 1968! Brutale saund. Greetings from Germany ;)
I had One of these in White with Black Trim. And She was a Beauty, one of the Best cars, I ever owned. So Reliable, with a Bit of get up and go. Although some Mechanics did struggle with Balancing the Carbs. But when Right, she was a 'Go Getter..!' Sadly she was Murdered by a Council Truck ploughing into the Rear End. ( I was in at Work and she was Parked up ( Legally ) in a Row, of a Dozen other Bland Cars, and yet the Truck picked on her..!) I was Devo'd then and Honestly, I still am.! Ironically I was a Printer and Operating that Day a 'Roland Rekord' Lithograph press. 2 pieces of Beautiful German Machinery..! Only the Press wouldn't get me Home..! I look at that car pictured in the Same Colour 'Green of Envy..!' Nice..! Cheers All, kim from Australia ( now) 😎
Very nice car, I have a version produced by GM/Chevrolet in Brazil, from 1969 to 1992, basically with the same lines, just a few changes throughout the years. They used a GM 250 cid inline 6 cylinder engine, and a GM 4 cylinder 151 cid, This car was called OPALA = Opel (body) + Impala (engine). Today It's a collectible item. Check my 1987 Diplomata model in my videos! 👍🏻
I had 1978 Rekord in 90-s and liked it. But it was rusting faster than I fixing it. Good cars in general but why this corrosion? I've seen Astra 2008 already corroding these days. No more opels, sorry.
I wish you realize your dream. In my country this car has been transformed into what we call "Opala", with minor redesigns and stronger engine. I own a black one, year '76. Gift from my dad when I got into university. A exceptional car, I might say. Elegant and strong. Hope you get one someday ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ

I like the color so much, can you tell me the code of the color?I want to paint an opel cadett
Melonengrün metallic, original Opel farbe ca. 1970-1976.
No, in Germany this colour was named „limonengrün“. I had a Kadett which was painted in that colour.
