Another great demolition video. Just turn up the sound, and watch the action. The high-reach demo excavator operator is a good one. The demo attachment on that excavator is designed for concrete crushing, and less efficient than a shear for cutting steel beams, hence the workers on the manlift using the cutting torch to assist the excavator. Perhaps being that the building was a former embassy, with security in mind, its construction utilized steel beams encased in concrete. A fun video to watch, thanks for the long-playing action.
The excavator doesn‘t have a full hydraulic quick coupler (e.g. OilQuick) so I guess changing between steel sheer and concrete crusher all the time would cost too much time.
That building looks as tough as old boots. Its the 1st time i`ve seen workmen cut a beam with acetyline torches as the excavators are usually the way to cut them. Good video as per usual.
Parts of building looked very tough. Transfer or blast slab at the beginning. Other parts designed against progressive collapse or heavy fire. Probably with terrorism or blast protection in mind.
The high reach jaws operator is almost at ground level. They could do their job easier if they could see what the camera man sees. Camera on the jaws arm? Or perhaps a video feed from the camera man to the jaws operator.

I'm always looking for what is a little different in each demolition. In this case, the use of cutting torches really stood out.
This video is fantastic I hope your channel blows up and you can film demolitions full time if that's what you want to do. thanks!
That Celtic thing can't bite thru butter.
That operator is pretty skilled, very efficient use of claw.
But crushing concrete with a steel shear isn‘t a great idea...
@@peon9282 but the concrete has rebar
Huawei to Pooh Bear: The bugs in the Australian Embassy seem to have stopped working.
😆
Thanks for not putting music!
Esse operador é um baita de um profissional. Parabens
I find this very relaxing to watch :)

That genesis jaw will chomp through those RSJ’s

Someone said they found a foreign bug in the building, so ASIO ordered it be torn down.
Joy to watch .Good operator... Like it when they dont try taking em down a spoon full at a time...
The claw looks like a face
This should have been blown up.
It was right up against some other buildings. Here is one they did blow up: ruclips.net/video/jn-VuaQRUlo/видео.html
hi from austraila
Maybe those RSJ’s are harder steel.

Shear, not claw, just so someone doesn't have to correct me.
Die Zange ist ein Armutszeugnis , noch nicht einmal einen kleinen Stahlträger schafft die Zange zu trennen.
Did we kick the Aussies out of DC? :)
How did you get this recording cause you aren’t in Australia right?
This is the Australian Embassy to the United States located on Scott Circle in Washington, DC. A very long distance from Australia.
Oh
