It's a bit of a false thing, they were tricked into waving and made to look like that, however there were people there who fully knew what was going on and supported it. (Guy in the front with the ok hand sign, being used as a fascist symbol there). So while it's not the whole group who is bad there are bad members hidden in the group who want to stir up trouble and push people to side with them.
It was a high school prom photo. It was online for about seven months before it became famous and presumably no one in Baraboo who saw it saw anything wrong with it, which tells you a lot about the parents of the kids throwing those Nazi gestures.
The photographer (a biker of German descent) attempted to claim the boys were "waving goodbye" to their parents. He then played the typical MAGA victim card and claimed anyone who saw what we all saw was just "woke" and an "activist".
The school district indeed did absolutely nothing but try to play it down, even while dozens of former and current students were also stating how unsafe they felt at school because of the bullying and bigotry they saw on a daily basis.
It's fair to say that the people in charge in Baraboo are more inclined to bury their heads in the sand than confront the very obvious issues in their community.

Feom my understanding, the father only made a claim about his daughter having gotten into trouble AFTER he was taken in and charged with the misdemeanor. But when he was first spoken to, he only said that (the Superintendent) wasn't touching his *%+&!=

For me, it's the mere fact that this father held onto anger instead of addressing it either at the moment or immediately afterwards. He chose to publicly bring national attention TO HIMSELF and showed everyone that he couldn't control his anger and he clearly held a grudge. The irony is that the superintendent didn't even know the father...so he was essentially a disgruntled nobody acting out for what exactly?

What people who are struggling to defend the father is not getting even if the father was mad at the superintendent over a situation with his daughter it still didn’t give him the right to behave that way and put his hands on anyone and last but certainly not least it wasn’t the father decision to decide whether his daughter should shake hands( it was her graduation ceremony remember)it was the daughter decision, she has a mind of her own and is not her father property.

This could have been handled so much better than it had. He had now embarrassed his daughter in front of her peers and how to the world.
Nothing quite says respect of a serious occasion like wearing your hat indoors with your sunglasses propped on them.
For the daughter's sake (and her classmates), I wish this wasn't on the news. Some things should be left to local newspapers. Title of the article: stupid dad goes viral at graduation. Obviously this is very embarrassing for her. She should be applauded for making it through high school with an idiot dad. BTW, staff handled this situation well, all things considered. Also just my opinion having been to several graduations and crossed the stage several times, just have 1 person shake the graduate's hand, it moves things along more quickly. Some cultures women aren't allowed to touch men so also keep that in mind. A handshake might not be appropriate. I had a wonderful HS graduation, small school and I was close with several people in administration. I got several hugs crossing the stage, and a couple kisses on the cheek from some of the women (I would definitely consider them like an aunt, so it wasn't weird and I wasn't surprised when it happened). Today that wouldn't fly, I was still a minor, 17, at graduation.

I was expecting more information than everyone already has. Everything I can find about the incident is either behind a paywall or just giving us the same information everyone else has. Here's hoping I actually find out more details than what everyone on freaking earth already knows.
Agreed I wanna hear about the bullying incident with the daughter that dad is saying the Superintendent mishandled… not just everyone saying “oh it’s cause dad is a racist!! Send him to prison!” I want facts

I can't believe a father would ruin his daughter's high school graduation - a memory we carry for the rest of our lives. Father so selfish did not stop to think about his daughter. My heart goes out to her.
