24. Finding and Freezing Wild Mushrooms on the Homestead Vlog

Travis had a great find and abundant harvest from one log!
This fungus is in the #lionsmane family! And we are so excited about this!
Common names of this species are Coral tooth fungus and Comb Coral Mushroom. Similar to Bears head, Bears tooth and Bears head tooth. All are in the genus Hericium, and all are choice edibles.
We've been finding a lot of mushrooms lately so we're going to freeze these ones up for later.

Oh wow they look like something out of the reefs and delicious. Does the taste remind you of Lion's Mane? It's awesome to see Karl embrace nature and his surroundings. 🍄🌳

Yeah! Very similar! Slightly different texture.
Something we just thought of yesterday was to try to make them like fried calamari! We’ll have to let you know how that goes!
