    Sylhot division was a part of Assam even before 1947. In 1947 India
    and Pakistan got independent from British empire after the war. India wanted Sylhot division to become part of India but Pakistan didn’t want that. So Sylhoti people said they will choose their own country by voting them.They said If Sylhoti people want to become part of Pakistan they have to vote for "Ax" symbol" or If they want to stay with (Assam, India) they have to vote for "Hut house symbol". Most of the Sylhoti people were Muslim by religion so they choose to go with Pakistan. That's how Sylhot was separated from Assam. After 1971 when Bangladesh got Independent from Pakistan, Sylhot become officially part of Bangladesh from East Pakistan. There is more Sylhoti live in Assam,India than (Sylhot division, Bangladesh.) There are more Sylhoti live in other Indian states like: Tripura,Meghalaya,Assam,Manipur,Nagaland. They been living there since civilization. Assam was out of Bengal all the time. That's why Assamese people don’t consider them as Bengali. Sylhot used to be a important state of Assam. Even Assamese language is very similar to Sylhoti language. Like an example:
    English: Forgot.
    Bangla: Bhule gechi.
    Sylhoti: Faurilisi.
    Assamese: Pahorisu.
    See the similarity between Assamese and Sylhoti language. There is a dance in Assam call Bihu. Bihu dance and song is very similar to Sylhoti Dhamail dance and song. Assamese food, culture, language, clothing style are very similar with Sylhoti culture.

The sole purpose of using these words was to make it complicated for the people of Kolkata to say these sentences and to make it more interesting. Also, to aware the world regarding the wide differences between Bangla and Syleti.

    Bengalis has been trying to kill Sylhoti language for more than 50 years and insulting Sylhoti language by calling It a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti scripts are 2 thousand years old and Bangla is only 5 hundred years old. Sylhoti is a tonal language and Bangla is a non tonal language. Bangla has nothing to do with Sylhoti.
    Due to the dominant political reason of Bangladesh, Bengali speakers don’t want to recognize Sylhoti as a different language. But we Sylhoti people know Sylhoti is not a dialect of Bengali cuz when a dialect can developed It's own writing system and grammar It's no longer a dialect. It becomes a separated independent language. Sylhoti language even has It's own grammar and vocabulary too and It's not even a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti language has nothing to do with Bengali language. Sylhoti language has all kinds of qualifications and features be a separated independent language.

    • @diamonddust9889
      @diamonddust9889 Год назад +2

      Sylhoti themselves are confused as hell and call Sylhoti a dialect of Bengali. They say they speak Bengali when they don’t even understand Bengali - especially those in the West. If you tell them they’re Sylhoti they say you’re brainwashed.

    • @alahiri2002
      @alahiri2002 Год назад

      You’re doing it here too? I already told you when I saw you spam this wall of misinformation elsewhere, and I will tell you again; you’re not helping the Sylheti language by lying about it to the whole world.
      If you want recognition, be sincere and talk about the very real tradition of nearly 1000 years that the Sylheti language has. Tell them about the very real Sylheti Nagri script, which has been in use since the 15th century. Don’t tell people that the script is more than 2000 years old, as that is a blatant lie. Magadhi Prakrit was still the dominant language at that point; Bengali, Sylheti, as well as some other languages like Assamese and Odia that, at that point, did not yet exist, would later come to derive themselves from Magadhi Prakrit, some earlier than others.
      It would probably also help your case not to spread blatant lies about Bengali.
      The Bengali language is the source of more than half of modern Sylheti vocabulary, and is significantly older than Sylheti. At the latest, Bengali diverged from Magadhi Prakrit around the 10th century, with the earliest records of the modern Bengali script being from the 11th century, so to call Bengali 500 years old is an easily verifiable lie. This makes Bengali 1100 years old at the bare minimum, if not more. Just as Bengali was written using the Gupta script before it had its own, Sylheti was written predominantly using the Bengali script (and occasionally some others) until the 15th century when the Sylheti writing system was actually developed-based on the Bengali abugida.
      While Bengali is not a fully tonal language like Sylheti, tone is an important aspect of the language that can serve as the sole differentiator between a question and a statement. You are lying once again by referring to Bengali as a “non-tonal language.” Tones play a crucial role in the language.
      Like I said the first time you wrote this bullshit, I do actually believe that Sylheti should be classed as its own language. While its history is intertwined with Bengali, and much of its vocabulary pulls from Bengali, I don’t think they retain enough mutual intelligibility to be classed as dialects of the same language.
      It has nothing to do with the existence of a Sylheti Nagri script either, as languages are written using multiple scripts all the time, while different languages can often be written using the same script.
      As a fluent speaker of Bengali and a conversational speaker of Spanish, I would classify the relationship between Bengali and Sylheti as similar to the relationship between Spanish and Galician. In both cases, the common origin is blatantly obvious to speakers of either language (those who say otherwise are simply lying), and there is a level of mutual intelligibility due to shared vocabulary despite large differences in grammar and pronunciation.
      In summary, Sylheti is a beautiful language, and you are doing it a great injustice by rewriting its history.
