If you think you have a bad cigar taste wise, try puffing on it less often like every 30 or 45 seconds. An over heated cigar can taste harsh and nasty. If it’s not really going when puff it. Take a short quicker draw to get it going and then a longer slow draw.
Ok...I have a question... I buy a cigar..I rest it for 2 weeks...I'm gonna smoke it...what do I look for before I light it...how should it feel...soft or rock hard...
It should feel slightly spongy. It shouldn't be so spongy you can tightly squeeze the cigar and nothing happens. On the other hand, if you do squeeze it, you shouldn't hear the sound of cracking (from the wrapper/binder). It's hard to explain, but the perfect feel is right between soft and rock hard. As time goes by you will get a feel for it. We hope that helps.
