In the UK, a sieve and a colander are different things! A sieve is a mesh like was used here, a colander is a bowl with holes in it. I finally bought a new rice cooker today along with a bamboo steamer set and a new wok to season. No more embarrassing rice.

I really like how you promote other restaurants when you do these Uncle Roger. It's such a neat way to promote cuisine in your area and teach people how to cook at the same time.
For me, you're not wrong. I've made my specialty dish almost a dozen times (Bruschetta stuffed chicken). It has never been the same twice but it has always been good. Sometimes the juices from the bruschetta are perfect for simmering down into a sauce, sometimes they are not. It all depends on the feeling that day. Ancestor's tastes vary from day to day just like ours do!

For me, you're not wrong. I've made my specialty dish almost a dozen times (Bruschetta stuffed chicken). It has never been the same twice but it has always been good. Sometimes the juices from the bruschetta are perfect for simmering down into a sauce, sometimes they are not. It all depends on the feeling that day. Ancestor's tastes vary from day to day just like ours do!
