What does Uncle Roger know about cooking? When he endorsed MSG... I knew then he doesn’t know anything about cooking! That spice which spikes migraines is for people whose food lacks flavor. In some Asian countries when cruel people wants to kill / trap animals for food, that’s what they put in their trap to make them dazed - MSG. No offense Uncle Roger... now you know how it feels to be brutally Frank.
Chef Wan is like that one successful uncle who rarely come back home but once he comes back, there will be a lot of presents and sweets prepared specially for his nephews and nieces 😂😭
Y'all roasted each other and I LIVEEEE FOR IT! For Non-Malaysians, this is how we live in Malaysia. No need to criticize us, our accents or whatever. Here, this is how we Malaysians interact. I don't know about y'all but this is how we do it. No bitterness, just having fun roasting each other. Learning how to cook from our aunts/uncles and it's exactly just like this. No need to criticize, just come and live here for at least a week then you'll see this is like every day ish to us.
I wonder if it's a cultural thing, with some cultures tending to have a lot of insecurities to the point that they're unable to see and enjoy the humor of roasting each other.

Also, Sundanese food foundation is the good rice and good sambal. If you cook the rice perfectly and grind the sambal correctly, any side dish doesn't matter.
It's common in Sundanese households to serve only one very simple side dish along with the rice + sambal, like fried tofu/tempe or fried fish etc.
Most People esp young nephews might not know , but Chef Wan is the Gordon Ramsay of Malaysia but with Uncle Roger’s wittiness and mouth😂 Chef Wan was the peak of celebrity chef back then , i remember my mom would wait anxiously in front of the tv with her recipe book and pen. All of us had to help her copy down the recipe because Chef Wan was just going fast and there were no replay button then. The good old days

Uncle Roger: acts like everyone's 50 year old uncle
Uncle Roger: tries this with Wan
Wan: actually 50 year old uncle and treats Uncle Roger like the young boi he is

If I were given the opportunity to learn cooking, difinitely I will choose chef wan over any other chef in the world. The way he schooled uncle Roger with his cooking technique really impressed me. A grandpa, a chef, a great comedian, and a joker, doesn't take anything to his heart.
D
This is the best episode so far! “He cooks like he doesn’t give a shit..” LOL
Fast cooking the best way to make you girlfriend happy after a hard day at work ..and time to finish xbox game mission .

Chef Wan is indeed one of the best cook from Malaysian. He's damn good lol, met him in person. Super rich but humble
