- So we are trying to get ready for a trip and the Ram 3500 was due for fuel and oil filter changes. Well everything was going great until it wasn't. Laugh and learn from my mistake to hopefully help you out in the future.

I have a no-spil drain plug on my truck, you connect a drain tube to it to start the flo, and cause you can stop the flow at anytime it makes it so I drain my oil straight into my old DEF jugs. Zero mess and makes it easy to dispose. It’s a fantastic product.
I definitely will be investing in that. Also a good use for the def jugs.
Thank you for sharing your video I just purchased a 2023 Ram 2500 Limited Edition with the Cummins 6.7 Liter Turbo Diesel. I really like the tool that you used to remove the oil filter without spilling any oil when removing the oil filter after you completely unscrew it from the engine. I learn something new all the time by watching these RUclips videos.

Go to home depot and get a circular floor scrubbing pad, they are red and look like a scrounge pad. It stops the splashing of oil put it directly on your drain pan.

Is it best to use the drain on bottom filter before removing it ?
Yes for the fuel filter I drain them as much as possible to minimize the mess.

Yeah that’s what I use on my old 99 dodge Cummins definitely better
