My work site is 56 miles from home. I'm 63 years young. IF the SHTF while I'm at work, and getting home requires me to walk, it will take me a minute or two to do so. I have a 25# pack w/food, shelter, FAK, and H20. I also have an AR and mags, as well as a 9mm and mags.

Great video! I'm building my BOB and feel inspired
I've added ham radio, lockpicking, and fire starting to my own BOB.
Where I live, the likelihood of having to evacuate my home is higher than the difficulty of returning, although the latter cannot be ruled out.

Add lock picks to you kit. Small, easy to use and could come in very handy in a riot area.

I need to make a lighter pack. I have a full comprehensive pack in case I am further from home. I’m getting older and crippled. Lol. Better to stay prepared in case but I hope I never have to use this stuff.

My bail out bag has to get me to our offgrid cabin thats a 4 hour drive under normal circumstances. In a shtf scenario thats going to increase drasically cause all the highways will probably be completely parking lots. We had to evacuate coming the opposite direction for hurricane ike and it took us over 16 hours to drive here. Houston was gridlocked with over 2 million vehicles. Luckily its mostly wide open spaces with small towns between here and there so staying off the main roadsbwould probably be my best option. I keep enough food and gear to sustain me for 3 to 4 days and i could also trap or hunt small game and have water filters in case that trek gets extended longer.
