- Obake has 75% chance of leaving fingerprints, it might show up on second or third door touch. It cannot be a mimic due emf 5. With usual equipement (flashlight) and journal check, it must be best non-guessing speedrun of Tanglewood.

If you're wondering how he knew Obake, it was because he got EMF 5, took a picture of the first door and didn't get fingerprints (which take priority over interactions) and then took a picture of the second door and did get fingerprints. The Obake is the only ghost that doesn't have a 100% chance to leave fingerprints, so them being on the second door and not the first immediately tells you it's an Obake.

Interaction goes before fingerprints. Insym when he doesn’t have a UV light takes two pictures to see if the SECOND one shows fingerprints, just as this person did.

@@Altwoox this is an old video. Originally fingerprints took priority over interactions but they changed it because it meant that you never had to use UV as you could take a photo and even if it's not fingerprints you would still get money for an interaction photo. Now if you want a perfect game you have to confirm fingerprints with a UV befote taking a photo so you know they're there.
I had a game where as soon as we walked in the door, 2 things in 2 different rooms moved at the same time. Guessed and left 😂

i had a game where as soon as i walked in, there was a ghost event so i took a photo and it disappeared which means it was a phantom. I finished the game in 28 seconds.
Wait, so phantoms disappear when you take photos?
@@user-mv4ix7jd8o yes, if theres a ghost event and u take a photo of the ghost and it disappears right as u took it, it is a phantom. And the ghost photo will count as a ghost photo but the ghost will not be in the photo and it wont have that glitchy effect on it. 👍
My personal Speedrun was
1.- enters the house and have ghost event
2.- taking photo
3.- phantom
Meanwhile my personal speedrun is
1. Throws crucifix into entrance
2. Enters the house
3. Jesus stick burns its a demon
Sadly this is all luck as it depends on the ghost if they want to cooperate or not XD
well I also do full game speedruns. somehow my runs have improved over time. as you can see in this video it is full game speedrun attempt.
@@blandon93 that can be for a mix of reasons, learning each ghost behavior patterns and stuff like that. But if you get something where you have say a goryo it absolutely will take a longer time if your evidence you have is D.O.T.S. But over all its a simultaneous mix of game knowledge and RNG
@@DeathProductions200 goryo is my favorite ghost type. I mistook like 5 dots ghosts for it. Goryo suspection makes you focused, which I consider good during 2 hour runs. RNG is heavy factor, luckly for me they removed evidence requirement in any% as long as I know the ghost type special ability. Ghost writing is the most RNG heavy evidence, but most ghosts who have that also posses a special ability which cuts the time running around yelling "write in the book".
True, i had a solo game where i guessed the ghost after getting 2 evidences for 10 minutes (ghost activities was like about 0 it was very calm) and rolling out many others, I was in the truck about to finish the game when suddenly saw dots on the monitor then i realized it's Goryo.
Most speedruns of games depends on rng so

Sadly you can guess obake like this anymore 😭 (They changed it so that fingerprints appear after interactions when you take a photo so you either have to get a uv light or risk a 0 star photo)

@@TheOlav0509 the issue is that you can only hold 3 items so the camera no longer functioning like a UV light complicates things quite a bit

When I started playing I was trying to connect multiplayer, we started a match but my friend lost connection, so before even opening the truck I was like "HMMMM looks like a Mare to me" (just to leave the game) I guessed that and I can't believe that 1/24 chance I got it right. I beated all challenges possible lol
Reminds me of a time when me and a friend went into a house, the ghost started an event and we took its picture, for it to disappear. "Welp, that's a Phantom lmao" and just left

Just did a 23 second game - Walked in, flipped the light switch on and it immediately turned it back off. It was a mare and that's the mare ability.
no lights on nightmare start on. you should apply it to the leaderboards if it is true. my run has solid evidence and no guessing, it's certainly not the fastest, but I still like it as showcase.
@@blandon93 My game was on insanity, I was priming the lights as I walk to the breaker so all lights would be on. Just got stupid lucky it showed a rare ability immediately- how do you apply to leaderboards?

@@blandon93not sure if this was true in the past but current mare will still flip the switch even if breaker is off so you can get an almost immediate run if you’re lucky
It was before the apocalypse update. Now interaction has priority over fingerprints unfortunately

I had a fast run where I went in, saw the boys bedroom door close really fast and the audible closing of the door was delayed by about 2 seconds after it closed and I knew instantly it was a yurei. It was a pub multiplayer and one girl refused to get back in the van, someone was live streaming it tho so it would've been like a 35 second non-guess nightmare ghost determine with 0 evidence :l
wait audio delay is a way to identify yurei
@@AtakeVsTheWrld I know for a fact that it was, may not be the case anymore since they started removing those kinds of indicators a bit or making them rarer. a yurei could slam a door so fast that the audio for the door closing would come like a full second after it finished closing.

if randomly guessing a ghost is considered a speed run, then my speed run would be 15 seconds. also the youtuber justly has the world record for Tangle wood at 37 seconds with all 3 evidence.
How did you knew was a Obake? Is there any way to figure it out between the 4 ghost that left?
In the previous updates, Fingerprints had the priority over Interaction - instant EMF5, no fingerprints on the first interaction, but on the second. That is a sign of an Obake
my fastest was on no evidence challenge with my friends, stepping into the house and immediately see the widest ghost orb I've ever seen in my life. probably was 37 sec
which ghost gives wide ghost orb?
In a no evidence run mimics always show ghost orbs regardless

My quickest was 28 seconds. I walked in with the spirit box and for the first time it responded and I was like NOPE and left

i didnt even find the room, it just did, like, an airball and a singing event and the lights turned off as soon as the events started, it also turned off the breaker

Out of curiousity, how did you know it was an obake?
obake leaves fingerprints but is the only ghost to have a chance of not leaving one.
Hence first door touch didnt have any but the second one had fingerprints
we had demon and we knew cause a hunt started 5 seconds after walking in the door

That's cool, but this is why I don't like Phasmo speed runs. You can get something like this to happen and get it instantly where as someone else may have an entirely different experience. Good on you though, it feels good to finish a job that fast.
it is 99% "different experience" for me. I showcased this as 0.01% run, you cannot get better time without guessing, plus 2/2 evidence in nightmare.

You might be thinking about a Yurei but I haven't had enough Yureis to notice the double door touch frequency
No thats not how he figures out its a obake. Any ghost can double touch doors how Yurei works is that it will close doors fully noy open it. While Obake is the only ghost that had a chance to not leave a finger print since back then finger print take priority over interraction he took 2 photos of 2 different interraction where the ghost touched the door. First one didnt leave finger print, the second one it did indicating its an obake. All ghost will leave gurrantee finger print except obake who has a 75% chance
i had a game on sanity game where iimedially was a ghost event and we took a photo and it dissapeard so it was a phantom the game was 30 sec

I tried doing this yesterday and its very hard. Kept getting 5 mins. The best time I got was 2 mins 19 seconds.

My fastest game was 20sec on Ridgeview. Used ouija board noticed it didn't take much sanity guessed demon and left lol
Had a faster run with a Wraith but it was on Professional, I take 4 steps into Tanglewood and it does its teleport ability which I picked up with EMF, I go back to get some more items and catch EMF 5 from the activity board. Took about 20-25 seconds and heaps of luck lol

yeah you can cheese small maps with mimic orbs. they accept that on src. a bit cheap to me. still you can get pretty times, which is still somewhat valuable, unless they would ban it (they should do that btw).

i had a game where a wraith tp-ed to me and i got emf 2 and it didnt touch any doors and i finished the game in under 21 secs
My speed run was actually playing the game without using cheats.
Bold claim, considering I also speedrun 100% and perfect% categories. At least check the content before making such stupid assumptions.

give me a sign take a picture of the emf reader if its higher than 3 then take a picture what a ghost did put the evidence in the book choose the gohst and get out

How’d you guess it with only 2 evidence?
0.6 patch obake (fignerprints>interaction). 0.7 patch I would take 4 photos, 2 of them would be interactions with only 1 fingerprint.
While I haven't had a game this fast in Phasmophobia yet, I have had a faster run in a Phasmophobia Roblox game called Specter. I had a 23 second anti-evidence run against a Shade. It did not respond to the spirit box and wasn't freezing so it was a Shade or Rev. Then it knocked on the window immediately and no fingerprints.

mimic orbs on bleadale is a cheap way to speedrun. my record is 45 sec Yurei ability.
