    Hi Sir Chris! I was confused which last name should I use in lodging partner visa as well as in NBI/ police check. My passport's last name was when I was single. Should I use married last name for lodging partner visa as well as in my police check or should I follow the last name in my passport?

    Hello, is the subclass 309 application submitted through the immigration account of a spouse or partner who does not yet hold a visa, or is it submitted through the immigration account of the visa holder/sponsor?
    In whose immi account is this visa lodged
    2. How would the sponsor/ spouse apply for the sponsorship?

    In my case, I am married to my partner and we were not related before marriage.

      Hi, the answer is probably no. In this case, the immigration wants to know if the individual is married to someone from the same family.

    Hi Chris, me and my boyfriend are long-distance so we can’t have a shared bank account or live together, except when I visit him roughly every 1-2 months. Do you know how this will impact our eligibility when applying for a partner visa?

    • @WorkVisaLawyers
      @WorkVisaLawyers  9 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, yes, this can impact your application. You need to provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate that a de facto relationship exists between you and your partner. There are some exceptions to the 12-month rule. For example, if there's a child of the relationship. The best way for us to advise you on this would be an initial consultation. Hi Chris, my husband and I got married 9 months ago. However, I work in the UAE, and my husband is in Canada under a work permit. We have not lived together since getting married, but we have met once after the wedding. I will be moving to Australia on a study visa in July to pursue my dentistry studies there. Can you please advise me on how soon my spouse can join me in Australia?

    HI chris, this is one the best and detailed videos I watched on youtube about partner visas. Thanks for this. Btw, my partner and I are planning to lodge pv 820 and would probably need your help. But i would like to know if we have the chance even if I'm married in my country but separated for years ( i live in a country that has no divorce) but my OZ have been together for 5 years now and Im living with him in Australia under Tv 600.
    Thanks for your response.

    • @WorkVisaLawyers
      @WorkVisaLawyers  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Katie,
      Thanks for watching our video. Good to hear it was useful.
      There are a number of countries which do not allow divorces. It is possible to be successful with a Partner application without having a divorce, if you can sufficiently demonstrate both the separation and also that the more recent relationship meets the requirements for a spouse relationship.
      So basically you need good evidence.
      If you need professional advice and possibly assistance, the starting point would be an appointment.
      The best way for us to advise you on this would be an initial consultation. Please book an appointment here: www.workvisalawyers.com.au/arrange-an-appointment.html
      All the best.

      Thanks for your question. Not guranteed for PR. Your partner will still need to supply evidence after 2 years from when 820 was lodged, to prove you are still in a relationship. But getting the 820 is a good start!
