  • The ABM career field is small, but essential to the application of airpower. Based primarily in Oklahoma, ABMs most often fly on the E-3 Sentry (AWACS) and E-8 JSTARS.

Heavy fovus on AWACS and Tinker AFB. As a 13B I served on multiple air platforms, not just on AWACS, on USN ships / carriers, ground TACS units, FOBs, headquarters, and was an instructor at Tyndal AFB. I served with all branches of the US military, with NATO, Coalition, and ME militaries.

Does this job also help control air strikes on the ground or does this job solely focus on air battles ? What’s the age limit to get this job ?

@@airforceofficerpodcast Or just apply for an Officer board, thats what i did

i’m glad it worked for you, but OTS should never be Plan A if someone hasn’t finished their degree. USAFA and AFROTC will always be more direct and less competitive.

@@airforceofficerpodcast tell that to all the AFA guys who got dropped last year 😂 get a degree you can succeed in in the civilian sector and then try the airforce. Enjoy the civilian life of college. Non priors get selected yearly.

Except this career field stabs their people in the back in order to advance thier careers. And i know this for a fact. Other than that, cool job with 6 year service commitment which starts after training is complete
