Thank God, this is what true brotherhood is ❤️. I'm so glad that Eddie got well. He was extremely dehydrated and as anyone who is a performer knows, those lights are HOT as 🔥!! God bless you, all 🙏❤️. As TRUE performers, the show must go on and Walter and Eric were fantastic. Love & respect, ALWAYS 💖🌹!
It's easy to get overheated onstage with the lights and dancing and singing at the same time. The suits were nice but probably all of them were sweating. It got to him. It was so loving how they looked after him and fanning him and putting the cold towel on his head.
It was a blessing to see how Walt and Eric never left Eddie's side. Now that's called love and caring. With the help of the crew the show went on as if Eddie was singing with them. But then the O'Jays are seasoned and professional entertainers and they know what it takes to perform and deliver under extreme conditions and circumstances. Love the O'Jays 💖
The keyboard player started singing back up ,guitar player checked on Eddie, you can see that these guys have weathered some storms together. God Bless the whole crew. Very professional.
That "keyboard player" is non other than Dennis "Doc" Williams, who is the Ojays vocal/musical arranger and musical director for the Ojays since *1972*. The way they sing their songs live, and the musical accompaniment is all HIM. He does this for a few other artists, as well as T.V jingles, musical scores and the like. His work on the Ojays "Live in London" album is unparalleled in the music business. You did notice the band or the artists didn't miss a beat didn't you? Outside of perhaps New Edition, I don't know of any act in the last couple of decades that can parallel them.
This was at Chastain Amphitheater in Atlanta, summer of 2018. Was there and this was literally their second song. They opened up with Ship Ahoy, followed by Living For The Weekend. Walter Williams and Eddie Levert have been childhood friends since about 8 years old if I recall correctly from what I read. The show went on unlike entertainers of this day who will simply leave in the middle of a concert for any given reason. And they sang all of the rest of the songs without missing a beat. Eddie Levert was transported to a local hospital and it was found that he was dehydrated. This was my 3rd time seeing them in concert and I saw them again last summer. They always, and I mean always put on a great show !!! ❤❤❤❤
I love Ojays and I pray every time for my favorite group The Ojays God bless for ever guys ! Los amo chicos cuídense mucho tienen Que durar por siempre muy bien en salud y en todo !!
Man what Brotherhood. That's makes me love them much more. So grounded in heavenly harmony.. True entertainers. I've seen them live in 1972, 2009, and again 2009 . Great great performance. Eddie talks to the audience and brings you in closer, like you're part of his family. And that bad is kicking. Great musicians, great choreography, just a great show.
When I was a young kid my mother took me to so they Ojay's at Radio City music Hall in New York.I got to see the original group, they gave an electrifying proformence. I remember dancing in the crowd in my polyester suit as a little kid. soul music was all we had back then, it wasn't any Hip Hop then. all we had to listen to coming up was mom's and pop's music or young groups like the Jackson Five which was a beautiful thing; long live the Ojay's.
Now that's love, care and professionalism! You have to always be ready because you never know what happens. I pray Eddie is well and that Father God will continue to give them all life, health and strength.
I love the O'jays i don't wanna see anyone fall out on stage. They work and work and I wish they could be here forever, but i thinks its time to relax job well done.
I love you OJays' Eddie Sir, I pray you are doing ok. Eric, and Walter, true, Brothers, true friends. I'm sure Walter was worried to dealth, didnt want to disappoint the people's. Eric didnt want to leave Eddie. He looked very worried. Anionted singers..love you...
It took too long for the Medical Team to attend to Eddie , They should be quicker than that…. It was truly a medical Emergency……. And guess what the Band played on…. Plus the show went on Too,,,,, The Masters!,,,,👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You didnt see him observing? These are professionals, they are trained to not respond to drama/trauma. They have medical and emergency staff on hand. Not sure why u think that's sad. There will be time to sort out what's going on.
If you knew the song and what parts were sung by Eddie and Walter, then you would know that if Walter sung Eddie's parts, then he *had* to know that there was a problem with Eddie. Some of the examples is Walter sings Eddie's part @ :56 thru 1:13 and 1:33 thru 1:39. Eric Grant sings Eddie's parts from 1:40-2:06. Of course, there are points throughout the song where Walter and Eric sings Eddie's parts, but the reality is that they are such professionals, you didnt miss Eddie. BTW, if they need to stop the show, the musical director (Dennis "Doc" Williams, who plays keyboards/piano) is the one that will stop the show.
right on straight ahead, assalamualaikum straight ahead ,danke schön good god hey. go power . You the man Im just a squirrel trying to get a nut, and do the dog catcher. can you dig it.
This is just an example of how Eric takes care of his friend Gerald pop. It is evident that he has much respect for Eddie and Walter.
Yes he adores them. Eddie has high blood pressure and it went up too high.
Yes Eric does take care of them and they still didn't miss a beat!!!

I had the honor of hanging out with Eric a few years ago at his birthday party in Atlanta. Good brother..

LIVE
Omg what happened to Eddie? Well carry on Walt and Eric.
He was dehydrated. He didn't drink enough water during that performance.
@@NathanAHogan That's what he told the public but I believe it was more than that.
The show had to go on. No Refunds!!😆

Mr. Levert must have been really ill. I hope he was ok..

Its sad be cause eddie went out like that. I didn't examine the video as hard as you did, to notice that Walter was observing eddie.
