Delve deep, Miner! Once the Drop Pod releases you into the oppressive darkness, you are on your own. Complete the mission objectives set forth by the Company, and make it back to the Drop Pod in time to try your luck at even more deadly and lucrative encounters. Progress deeper and deeper into the planet while you grow ever stronger, survive all the way to the very end of your assignment, and finally get extracted alongside your hefty sack of loot.

Yeah I'm not very good at lying, Not only that, even with the RNG tinkering I did, it still took me 5 attempts to get the 3 XP scanners at the start, so I think my "acting" bar was depleted by then...
I'll make a video explaining how I did it, and how to do it safely so other people can have the fun.
A lot of people are coming in with runs about the 130 mark on Discord now, that seems to be reasonably with RNG, anything above that and you've hit incredible luck.

184 by the looks of it. Getting the scanner luck is definitely doable. I've had 5 scanners by floor 8 before. (Just never the right ones!)
oh man, fun run!! slightly eyebleeding though. and I was so getting triggered by you not finsihing the mushrooms quests over and over.. yelling at the screen "pick up the dang mushrooms" 😂😂😂
I'm normally so good at mushroom and flower collection. The 10 deep dives though, the focus, it just goes when the screen is all XP.

I've found if I don't get the secondary by about half way through the missions I do just ignore them.
brilliant the mining was awesome to watch and i've no idea what you did that wasn't allowed in a run, i didn't notice anything you still got to 217 which is the highest I've ever seen

There is a community challenge up on the discord. Someone has a genuine run at 184, which is amazing. (This is very much a theory run, I turned off the artifacts that didn't help)

Great video,did you manipulate the cards in anyway aswell as artifacts or just lucky with the xp gains
Just artifacts, they're all in a JSON object related to your save file.
I am not technically competent enough for stat or drop rate modifications. I'd like to keep the videos to the "art of the possible". So a time saver on RNG feels ok, the other would be a bit too far I reckon.

Haha, I skipped so many thing I'm sure I must have messed up at least 20 of those levels.

I wish it was fully legit and I didn't turn off some artifacts for it. But getting the RNG to get those artifacts in that order... You've got about a 10% chance each time, 20% while you've got rerolls and they pretty much have to come in that order. (Even then it's not perfect, gold scanners weren't in right order)

to pickup red sugar it needs to leave your pickup range and get back in again, losing health doesn't trigger the repickup
Ah is that how it works. So with a massive pick up range on 10 dives that's why I'm noticing "weirdness". Nice one, thanks for clarifying that.

Dont you think shop rerolls are worse as the cost keeps going up while stage rerolls are static 15 gold each.
I don't believe you can get grey cards at all in the shop. My theory is there is some sort of background luck going on at the shop. But, if you're going full hoarder mode and have thousands of gold I typically got to 55 cost rerolls in the shop and balance in some level up rerolls.
I wonder, why didn't you picked the HE nade at lvl15? It does can get a mining perk.
If I remember was trying to minimise matching tag cards (on this case throwing) to maximise the chance of +xp and luck.

59:30 Is there a mod enabled that locks all the unlockable artifacts? That way only see the ones that are unlocked by default and the ones that help with xp gain.
No mods needed. Just some messing about with your own save files. (With backups for course, science isn't worth bricking your game)
Low damage, slow killing actually contributed by delaying the bosses I think.

@@togwilson Yeah they should have come in Update 03. Should see 3 lines of meta upgrades and they're the bottom right.
If you're not seeing that it sounds like maybe you have auto-updates paused in steam or similar?
@@FswithFarham they need add new artifact to gain bonus exp from minion kills. minion kills barely give any levels in this run than this level cap will rise.

If it defines as a set value of XP given, enough for the three levels, that would appear to then get multiplied for the XP bonus.
It's not counting the level, it an XP injection.
Or do I have this wrong?
I think you're right. Gives 3 levels. Has about 700% xp. Levels flatten out at about 100 and I think we got a bonus 21 levels as soon as xp was gathered.
It's a take late artifact when stacking xp.

Already have all 60 cores. It's the current patch. Did the mastery levels not give that away?
Could be even better if you didn't miss last 2 stage missions.
Highest I've now seen is a 224 (not me!) Think there is about 10 minutes of stage dragging out that could be done. One to revisit for sure.
@@FswithFarham Can you get multiple "+3 levels" artifacts? If yes, it might be more beneficial on the last 3-4 stages considering your bonus xp. Btw, I had no idea this artifact is affected by xp multipliers. Having +500% xp basically means it gives you 15 levels :)
And also, you can't get more than 3 same arficats (like xp from mining)?
@@Jack_Not_Black can only get one +3 level artifact. You can only get 3 of each scanner, but I think you can get unlimited red sugar cubes.

JSON object prodding. Is Update 03, but with a bunch of the artefacts moved back to the "I have not unlocked these" state.
I'll make a short video explaining it for people that maybe want a more tailored experience to their runs.
I know this sounds weird but when you complain that your damage is lacking and then don't bother to get damage on any other weapons it's annoying. Either don't complain or level up something else lol
Wasn't a complaint. Was trying to keep it low so I could spend longer on the floors for more xp. Perhaps that point was missed, I'll be clearer next time.
Not fond of the mystery at the end. It would have been an awesome video if not for that.

You can start new save files, if your OK with manually backing up the main one. So you can limit what artifacts you have for certain runs, if you wanted yo do a big "for science" like this one. Other things too, save file is just a json object.
