      Not half tbh, All*
      Men and women have their roles to play, a man should protect and provide for his family, economic situation of society does not matter to the degree that people think it does. If you cant afford to pay all the bills as a man you should not be married, just because marriage is there doesn’t mean everyone should deserve to have one. If a woman is paying all the bills and her man is a house husband, she will literally lose respect and sexual attraction to him, it’s been observed by many studies and all but 100% confirmed as an eventuality, maybe your woman will not be like the VAST majority, and you will get that unicorn who doesn’t mind working all the time and allowing you to be home and cook and clean and raise the kids, but it’s definitely a rare mentality. All this confusion and gender war stuff is happening because the genders are battling over their roles and the roles have now become ill defined. When people don’t know what they should be doing they tend to start feeling lost and irritable.

    I think the confusion is with people thinking the “modern woman” wants a “traditional man” We don’t, that’s obvious, but we also don’t want a man that is okay with being entirely provided for (unless the woman is in the top 10%). Most modern women want a man that’s at least on her level or can pull his own weight from the jump. We are not switching sides with men, women are just catching up with men financially in this generation. Would love to double the money up when we get together, not have to divide what I have in half to provide for another adult 😂 only people I’m willing to do that for is my future children.

      What kind of drugs are you on?!? Men are literally expected to have their shit together before being in a serious relationship. The whole point of their video is that women have fought to reach the level of money and success a lot of men have. And guess what? When you are at the level, your options are limited. Men have literally been “dating down” for decades and understand the responsibility that comes with being the breadwinner. Women are the only ones complaining. When do you hear a dude complain about “dating down” when trying to find a wife?

    • @ShyShy5522
      @ShyShy5522 Год назад

      Well I do agree that encouraging is very important but I don’t necessarily agree black women must come down to meet them. Because the reality is the standards that most women do have is not realistic the type of money some of these women want men to have they don’t even have it’s very small percentage of men that make that money. And a even smaller percentage of women who make that type of money. Tyler used a over exaggerated example maybe 5x more for him is realistic lol but not the average man or woman. And men have always been taught to get a job pay bills and take care of the family well I have you have to be a provider protector and lover. Men are actually taught to prepare for a relationship in the future even though some men may want to be single the end goal we are taught is always marriage or what a women thinks. I was always taught about making sure my credit is good cause no woman wants a man with bad credit and if you have s family that’s important make sure you making enough to provide I was even taught at a teen age with dating if you can’t pay you shouldn’t date as a teen like you can’t even get a job until your like 17 in certain states 🤣 men are least taught money matters.
      But I’m just guessing that most men are getting out of that mentality becuase there are some standards that we are required to meet but are partners don’t have to meet certain standards. I’ve said it before women want a traditional man but not a traditional relationship. So while men have to be nothing but traditional women can kinda decide if they want to be housewives or work and even if you make more money you shouldn’t have to contribute cause you know the saying “mine money is mine and his money is mine” 🤣
      Also I don’t think if a man makes less doesn’t mean his less ambitious his career path may not be the most paying and yours may pay more maybe he wants to be a chef and you want to be a doctor your clearly going to make more then him but does that make him less ambitious? I feel these standards are coming from money you make less money somehow your less ambitious.
      And I do definitely agree men do need to be taugh to invest in the right things and also learn how to be a help around the house I feel a relationship is a team you pick up where he lacks and he picks up where you lack if he lost his job and you are working then he needs to do things around the house get up and get the kids ready cook clean organize bills run errands things like that and vice versa I don’t think it makes him less of a man to do laundry 🤣 I hope everyone does their laundry. But also coming from a black man we are taught money credit proved protect but we are never given the right sources I don’t know nothing about shares or the stock I didn’t know about credit in depth until I did my own learning but ofc my parents weren’t taugh those things so their credit is uh….. not so good my credit is good but that’s becuase I did my own research my parents didn’t at young ages. Laws created by men 😂. Silly, huh?
      Now that isn’t a thing anymore, some women who are in 50/50 relationships find themselves doing most of the caregiving, household chores, and paying 50% of the bills. That’s why many women are opting for traditional relationships
      I personally believe that women who choose traditional relationships should continue to have their independence and own money on the side because men used to be able to get away with abusing women (domestic violence was socially acceptable not even a century ago) due to them having to be dependent on them. If that is the route you choose- move smart!

Like yes men are visual creatures but you can’t group everyone into the same category, not all men get with women only for looks. I mean most people as human being me want partners that look good but there are other criteria. The example Tyler Perry used was extreme and I think it’s taking away from the point he was actually trying to make (if he has use a less extreme example I don’t think the outrage would have be as bad). It’s just unfortunate that the example he used is taking away from the actual point. When 2 people who get into a relationship with ACTUAL love ( not superficial stuff like looks and money), it’s doesn’t matter who makes more money, with true love it’s more likely that y’all can grow together no matter the financial situation or circumstance.

For men who are disabled, or have debts, child support, etc, or struggling, provide in other ways. Helping around the house, cleaning, cooking, yard work, errands, etc. This is meant to be temporary unless you are disabled, you do what you are able to.

    I don't think they are "pretending" in this instance. This is one of those instances when some men can't comprehend the roles reverse because it's not in their genetic makeup. They just can't fathom it. It's so sad because MOST men did grow up watching their mothers take care of everything (sometimes in addition to bringing home money too), and watched daddy do the BARE MINIMUM (work and bring home money) and that's what they aspire to be. Men (not all) are the head, yet they do the LEAST. Now that the roles aren't rolling, there's a glitch in the matrix. Nobody should aspire for struggle love (not just financially, but mentally and emotionally also). Let's take the shackles off.

I think Tyler’s only point is it shouldn’t matter who the bread winner is.. exaggerated example being even if he could only pay the light bill.. The Love,honor, respect is what should matter over all. Mind you I believe in providing as a man I just think black men/women have been so conditioned to be at odds on financial responsibility its annoying to even unpack these conversations fr. I'm being genuine here, but WHAT?! While racism is a huge issue, a huge conspiracy makes no sense... not when a slight majority of white people are still on the side of good, and against hate. Granted, it's only a simple majority... but still a majority. The racist scumbags are still in the minority. Also, if you're paying attention, you'll notice this happening to both black and white. And THAT - now that I think about it - is the actual curious part. It just seems to be an issue with both of our people, and seems limited to only English-speaking Western countries/cultures. But the point is, it's happening to black and white people... the so-called "gender wars". But it may be different battles. Some of the white battles overlap, like this b.s. mentioned her. But among white people there is also the conservative religious bxllshxt, too. Maybe that's also going on with black people too. The sick expectation of women to be trad wives. The return of the good, traditional, 1950s Christian housewife. You see it all the time from from people like Charlie Kirk, Matt Walsh, Jordan Peterson.

    Not saying that I agree with his viewpoint, this is just for clarification lol but actually Tyler Perry movies are consistent with his view point: diary of a mad black woman, the family that prays, madeas family reunion etc. The women leave abusive rich guys and go get with men who drive buses, and work in construction. So it’s not surprising that TP would say this stuff now.
    Also driving buses and working in construction are good paying jobs, they’re not broke but I guess the perception in the movie is that the women lowered their financial standard. Again this is just for clarification don’t come at me too hard, I have no dog in this fight 😂
