      In a major way. I fukin hate when we talk about people ( the masses ) and a nigga starts talking about what he sees and who he knows. I've been with my wife since 16. So we have been together for 30 years. So if a nigga tells me he married his 2nd baby mother and they got divorced in 3 years. And 70 percent of marriages fail after 3 years. And I say that's bullshit. I been with my wife 30 years. I'm 1 man. And if we are talking about say 10 million people. And I'm 1 out of ten million. And the majority of that ten million is being affected by something and I'm not. Who should we focus on ? Not the 1 that's not effected. So what you know a Lotta niggaz doing good. That's because that's the circle you are in. You can always tell when a nigga starting to eat. I been doing well for a while now. And I'm still fully aware I'm doing much better then the average Black Man my age. I didn't say the few. I can make 100k minimum up to 150 in my life at the moment. That number would make 50 cent or Jay z cry. They have Jewelry that costs more then that. But to the average dude in NYC or NJ. I'm doing better then him. The average dude drives a 25 to 30 thousand dollar car if he has 1 at all. . My car is worth 56 grand. The next 1 I get will be around 80. The average guy is not driving a 80 thousand dollar car. I don't give a shit what your personal experience is if we are talking about the masses. People need to think before they speak.

  • @kissedonmynose
    @kissedonmynose Год назад +39

    Math you missed his point. He was saying that the generational habits in the hood needs to change. And it's geared more toward the NYC NWK CHI PHIL BMO type of communities where real estate is hard to come by so if you got it keep it and if you don't, then acquire it and keep it available for the generations after you so they always have that foundation to fall on so they can regroup. Fact is, he was right. What do you say to the grands and great grands still in the same PJ apartment they raised their kids in 50 years ago? There's no ownership there. It's not about his circle, he is talking about the plight of the people and the people is the audience. He is discussing it with you but, try to reach the thinking of those of us who need to consider what he is saying.

    Mecca is talking facts and like the black community the rest of the people in the shop aren’t taking heed to what he’s saying. Everyone loves to scream I’m independent and I’m on my own after their parents tell them they have to be out after 18. But it’s a downfall for our community because we try to make it on our own when we don’t really don’t know how to then try to go back and are told no you have to tough it out when other communities welcome their own back with open arms and help them to time after time while the black community looks at you like you’re a complete failure. You have to learn from your mistakes and if you have nothing or nowhere to fall back on to. then most give up or just stay stagnant. I.e. pay check to pay check and never really accomplish their goals cause of the system they were raised in. We need to stop thinking that making someone fend for their own because society says they’re grown. Everyone needs help in certain areas and if going back home to reset is what it takes then so be it.

      Nope. Mecca was on the money with that. Niggas need to hear things. Living under a rock or not speaking truths ain’t helping nobody. It took a minute but pops telling me a pair of J’s wasn’t gonna get me nowhere was what I need to hear at the time. Niggas need to hear things. Sometimes over and over.

    Just to highlight some positivity of their debate, the simple fact that a room full of black men are talking about generational wealth, real estate, and business ownership is definitely a great thing. We didn’t speak in these terms historically. And the few that did used to be clowned or called a “Sharif” as in “we don’t want to hear that bullsh*t Sharif” - Menace II Society. In Hip Hop, a few of the GOATS like Nas and Jay Z have been planting the seeds for the next generation to become business men and women encouraging ownership or majority stakeholders in multiple business ventures.

    The problem isn’t that there are no black entrepreneurs, or no black ppl who support black businesses. It’s that black unity isn’t a part of our culture, overall. There are WAY too many ethnicities who make profit off the black community, that black people ourselves, should be owning. And I don’t understand why Math can’t understand that. Mecca was 💯 on point!
