@@ruanstrydom7533 thanks for the comment and the recommendation - that's really nice! As for the book, The Devil All the Time, I think I've heard of it actually. I'll do my googles on it and will see if it's for me. What's it about? Any specific idea about why you think it'd work for me?

@@idgitreadsandrambles7090 Pleasure regarding the recommendation. If you like anything written by Cormac McCarthey or Flannery O Connor then I think you'll enjoy this book.I've seen a book review of this specific book on Better than food's youtube channel and it really intrigued me.I've seen your book review of the Blind owl by Sadegh Hedayat and figured that you like some darker stuff/literature.I downloaded the pdf and read it and the writing blew me away.If you like any Southern Gothic novels with a dark edge then you'll love this one.Its a bit difficult to explain in a few sentences what the book is about plus I dont want to spoil it for you but it features some memorable characters like a preacher who throws spiders over himself , to show how much faith he has and 2 serial killers who takes photos of their victims before killing them.Very dark but very well written.Yes , maybe reading the goodreads or amazon reviews of this book will also help you , to figure out if this book is for you or not for you.Wishing you all the best for the future.Love your content. After seeing you talk about the unabridged journals of Sylvia Plath , in an earlier video I decided to buy that book which was one of the best decions I made.Plath was a genius.

@@ruanstrydom7533 ah, thanks a ton! Maybe the book will be for me - I'll get a library copy and read the first few pages. Yeah, I certainly enjoy darker stuff, and I appreciate Southern Gothic a lot - that's what makes me think this could be for me.
And thanks for the compliment on the Abridged Journals reading I did. I really enjoy them - a weird, weird book, right?! Thanks for the compliments too, that's way too sweet!
