I agree you're right because it need a color pass on the breathable line. The breathable line is very excellent. As for the winter collection, the red and the green are very good. The topper are very nice. I wish the topper belong in the fall collection than the winter collection. Thank you, Janixa.
After years of non-traditional christmas collections, I really liked this one because it was traditional. And the topper can glam up any color. I liked a mix of crème, shimmer and topper.
I love this collection! It's so pretty! I am a big fan of creams, because I love to embellish them myself with toppers. The color story here is perfect!
I think the color story is Perfecto for WINTER and for the past years I think all the companies have been focusing on the actual holidays and winter lasts so much longer!! I do like glitter and shimmer but after the holidays I feel more like that light blue or neutral and cleansing pallets as I end up covered in glitter literally!! 😂 loved the green, the teal and the light blue ❤ Great and honest review as always girl thanks so much
This seems like a good choice for a beginner who is just starting their collection. Some really nice basics. But it won’t be running out and purchasing any. Good review! Thanks!
T'waz is the pronunciation. 😊 I wonder if Orly thought that if they put a topper in the collection, you could put it over all the creams to bling it up!
Oh Janixa! I love this collection! Specially the out of the norm magenta shimmer! Heck my Christmas tree is mostly pink/ magenta lol! I feel this is a wonderful holiday color story! ❤ and the snow Angel cozy night combo is amazing! Also I feel the topper is copper more copper than rose gold 🥰🫶🏼 but thank you for the review!
Maybe I have different tastes, but I loved the red, green& blue! They look like that see- thru wrapping plastic, the crinkly stuff you use at Xmas😅. I guess they are sheers? I don't want them totally opaque. One coat gives me the holiday decoration look❤
Your skin is just LUMINOUS! I am happy that I am meh about this collection since I have 17 other polishes I will be ordering the next few days😅 Your swatches were lovely though!❤❤
I am mostly happy with this collection all except the topper I hated and the one that is pearly is so so but yeah, I love all the creams, they're gorgeous to me
Great video- as always ❤ I love this collection especially the 4 creams. I like indie shimmers, and from Orly, I love the plump creams that have just the slightest bit of cruelly finish. I hope you can get your hands on Endless Night- the extra that came with the color box. I think you’d love it
They could have used the same colors and added some bling! Like you mentioned, glitters, flakies or even a contrasting shimmer would have been good holiday additions.
I do like glitters and shimmers for holidays... I think the dark blue Cozy Night is more of a fall color, but Snow Angel is lovely for any time. I don't want to do 3 coats, though. I am a novice, and messing up 3 coats is too much for me.
I totally agree with your opinion on this collection! I was disappointed also, there was nothing exciting. I was really surprised orly did nothing but creams and a topper- Christmas is supposed to sparkle and shine! By the way, your hair is absolutely gorgeous- I’m jealous!😂☺️
This collection would be great for someone just starting out buying polishes. I need a green but this one isn’t it. I’m with you, I want the glitter and shimmer for Christmas. I have several creams but hardly reach for them. If I do, I usually pop CG Fairy Dust over it. That’s one topper that I’ve repurchased multiple times. You’re making ‘twas’ more complicated than it needs to be. Just say ‘was’ normally with the ‘tu’ sound first. Hope that helps! Love ya girl!
I don't know what it is, but I've been obsessed with cremes lately. I like this collection, but I already have colors like these, and I just ordered the Zoya Winter collection. If I only got one of these, it would probably be Sugar Plum Soiree, because I don't have one like that.
Beautiful colors. I a m happy for the non bling. I think bling can make older hands look older. There is a bling topper. Bling isn't for everyone. But enjoy your reviews.
I wish snow angel had been a shimmer to really give it an icy feel because it just seems kind of weird. I think what this collection suffers from is that I don't want to make a skittle out of it. The collections are usually visually appealing when looking at it together, even if I personally dislike the colors individually. And don't even get me started about the pearl.
I love the pink, red, green, and teal! Very jewel toned. I'd rather have these than some of the unfortunate polishes OPI has come out with lately. Not excited about the Essie winter collection, either. Thank you for the review, Janixa!
These Colors are nice especially the dark green. But personally I have been liking the Breathable line's colors more recently. I wish they had Color Pass for the Breathable.
I liked last year's Fall/Winter Breathable collection better for versions of traditional colors. I get Color Pass and liked the free polish, Eternal Quest better than anything in the collection which has dulled the colors in this group. Snow Angel is the only one of the collection that I don't have dupes for. I think Orly did so many shimmers the rest of the year that they had to reel it in for the winter collection. While not highly original, I do like this better than last year's one-note (IMO) winter collection. And...I was ready for cremes. I'm so sick of all the shimmers. I already lived through the 70s once. 😅
I was underwhelmed by this colorpass box. I wish they were all glitters and the topper was snowflake glitter. Colorpass holiday #4 (years) they need to get back to the wow factor🎉
Thanks for sharing! I really like this collection & the color story... but I've understood why people aren't super excited about it. P.S.The s at the end of Twas is pronounced more like a z.
I agree. This is kind of underwhelming. Snow Angel feels like a spring pastel for me. It needs something twinkly to be winter. I think the only winter mainstream collection remotely interesting for me right now is Zoya. PS I had to say "twas" aloud a few times 😂 I definitely say it like it's spelled "twuz".
Ugh I got the collection ifrom the Orly Pass . Disappointed, I guess I wanted more . Something sparkly , holiday like , tinsel like . Unfortunately I swatched each one and they are sittling in the box.
Your feelings here are pretty much how I felt about the Orly breathable collection this fall/winter. Meh. Also, remember that ‘Twas is a contraction between it and was. So it’s just was with a “twuh” at the beginning: like “twuz”
@@naillacquertherapy I'd certainly love that, but who knows? I honestly wish they'd just do their regular collection colors in the Breathable line as well.
I agree it's a bit boring. The red and green I think are to be expected, for non- nail-polish-hoarders (i.e. normal ppl), those will be colors they look for. The rest are kind of meh though. That light icy blue would be so much prettier with a silvery-blue shimmer, it would be even more icy and less bland. 4 cremes and one PEARL (everyone's most disliked finish) is a head scratcher. Normally I am all for toppers to jazz up a plain collection but this topper doesn't even seem that jazzy. I feel like Orly's Breathable line gets better collections than their main line.
You know, with the world beeing doomed I seek solace in the peace of nail polish swatch videos. The green and topper are beautiful. The last (light blue) one is really ugly. Shame that velvet ribbon doesn't match the namesake lipstick by Lisa Eldridge.
Aren’t we funny? I think it’s a little generational . . . . traditional colors and creams are what attract me, with “shimmers” being about as wild as I get. Pearl finishes hearken back to the 1950s and 60s, and look really dated to me. Glitters and holos are appealing to women in their 20s and 30s, but I guess Orly has to walk a fine line between demographics!
I’m a scattered holo, flakie, shimmer lover. I prefer fun finishes over creams. I enjoy toppers but not when it’s base heavy. You can’t win them all. Thanks for swatching this for us😊🫶🏼

are very good. The topper are very nice. I wish the topper belong in the fall collection than the winter collection. Thank you, Janixa.

I love Cozy Night, it reminds me of the retro blue Christmas lights. They always looked slightly warm because of the yellowish incandescent light.
💜💜💜

Exactly everything that’s done has been done

I can't believe how close you can get to your cuticle without flooding. I need to work on that lol.
I’ve noticed that too. No way I can do that!
Lots of practice!
@@naillacquertherapyI’d love to see nail care video. Show us your style please
I agree. Give me the sparkle! Whether it’s flaky, holo, or otherwise.

I think your review is spot on! I agreed with everything you said. They should listen to your feedback. Bring the glitter and bling!!!😂
And I pronounce ‘Twas as twuzz. More of a Z sound on the end more than an S sound. Is that just me? 😂😂😂
English is so weird lol
You do a beautiful job swatching. I love your channel.
Thank you 💜
See, after what seems like a year of Orly releasing nothing but pearly shimmers, I was SO excited that this set was mostly cremes!
They did release a lot of pearls this year huh? Can’t wait to see what next year has in store.
I love the introduction super adorable 😍😍😍😂❤
Haha thank you 💜

You talking about glitter is making me want to break out my HT Cristmas collection. 🤤
Yesssss! Love that collection!

Ah you’re right. Idk why my mind went right to rose gold lol
I like that red one, velvet ribbons. It’s a perfect Christmas red.
It is!
I do usually like more bling. 💎
I like the regal pine
💜💜💜

No these aren’t sheers. They’re described as creams.
Your skin is just LUMINOUS!

Your swatches were lovely though!❤❤
Thank you! 💜
Yes for the creams!! Not a shimmer person but I must say I’ve been liking the latest shimmers and glitters polishes I do like the collection
💜💜💜
I feel the same way!
I am mostly happy with this collection all except the topper I hated and the one that is pearly is so so but yeah, I love all the creams, they're gorgeous to me

Great swatches as always! 💜I’m still waiting on Essie to release their Winter collection, I feel like it’s so odd for them to release at a later time
They aren’t releasing it in the US or Canada apparently. So weird!
Good. .save me some money 😅

Good review and my thoughts exactly. I didn’t like the color story at all.
They are pretty but I feel like they just added a name to previous colors.
I mean it is cohesive and the formulas are great but as someone who has about a 1000 polishes I already have similar colours so it is a pass for me.
💜💜💜
Very underwhelmed :(. I already have dupes of all of those! Who doesn’t have a red or 10? 🤦🏻♀️
Sooooo many reds!
The dark green and the topper are my fave. The rest is rather boring!

The colors are pretty, but the color story doesn't appeal to me. After the great year Orly has had, this collection is kind of dull.
It feels very old fashioned.
'Twas is not really a word anymore. It's "old english" it's pronounced T WAS.
Yes it’s something we don’t use much anymore.
Looking at the collection as a whole it looks rather boring. I liked the opi ones more despite the names lol
