A couple of things. The arcane archer would benefit significantly if they moved it in the direction of some of the subclasses from Tasha's in tying the ability to proficiency bonus. That allows you to power up naturally without becoming over powered in the end. Also, I was never a fan of the battlemaster on paper, but I've been playing the early access of Baldur's Gate 3 and I have to say, I've come around. Some of those maneuvers are just fantastic. Also, just discovered this channel, and it's great.
About the cavalier's charge attack: it also doesn't specify that you need to move forwards. A bugbear with a reach weapon has a reach of 15 ft. You can move backwards 10 ft. and then use he attack on an enemy.
@@MonkeyDM even better: I just realised you could even move past a creature for 10 ft., then knock it prone with your reach attack. Bugbear cavalier fighter with a reach weapon, polearm master and sentinel seems to be the ultimate character when it comes to stopping enemies from moving away, towards you or moving at all.
If someone plays an echo knight in your campaign roll a D20 behind your screen each day in game. If it lands on the number you pick, at some point during that day the echo knight vanishes for 6 - 120 seconds and comes back with an arrow in their shoulder: they had just become the echo that another echo Knight summoned. Don't let the player know what the result of your role was until it happens. Beautiful chaos!
Monkey Dm your amazing. Your videos bring so much joy to my day. I have been trying to get into your discord. How can I do that? (Keep up the great work ❤️)
I hate the battle master. It's existence restricts what other classes can do. Do you want to investigate your enemy for weaknesses or disarm your enemy? Too bad, those are battle master abilities. It sets a bad precedence for what other classes can't attempt
I mean, cobalt soul monk also has this "reading" ability. But I agree that manoeuvres can feel limiting for other classes, which is why I'm glad there are now feats to get manoeuvres, but those feat are a bit too weak atm (for any class that isn't battle master)
@@MonkeyDM I would greatly prefer if most of the battle master's abilities were redesigned as feats and gave the battle master more feats and that superiority dice acted more as self bardic inspiration. The reading abilities should be the under utilized intelligence checks. The fact rangers have advantage on intelligence checks regarding their favored enemy but those checks don't reveal combat information. Except for the tactical assessment maneuver the battle master doesn't gain any use from intelligence despite the class being described as academic and knowledgeable in the book. I guess my only real issue with battle master is how the game handles intelligence as a dumb stat for most classes
I didn't expect a full subclasses tier list! You're really going for it! Thanks for the great content
glad you like it!
@@ムャlechat those are going in the next video :)

Any class can make a disarm action.
