- My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

Chrome, please put a handrail on the stair--even a temporary 2X4 handrail is better than nothing. That is a huge liability if someone were to fall down the stairs. I've got 44 years in the construction business and no one would ever be able to use even a temporary stairway without a handrail. How did you get an occupancy permit without one? I love your channel and have watched every video you have made.
I’m with you. I don’t know the liability or code laws in Canada, but it would make sense even for himself, that’s a long way to the bottom 😬

Chrome the new shop is coming along! You might not want to store the Ambo in a place like a barn. Mice and rats love to set up house in vehicles that are just sitting. They can do a lot of damage to your wires and cause all kind of headaches. Cheap may not be the way to go. 🤷🏽♀️

Reading this makes me feel better about my order. I only ordered 2 stickers. I just couldn't maneuver the system and was afraid to put to much on my card just in case I messed something up. I do want T-shirts too.

I love the "What's Up Weirdo?" my oldest grandson has been saying that for about 15 yrs to me!!
Saying goodbye is so hard sometimes. But not to that fan. You will have to just buy another one. And then run over the offending one with your van until you feel better. Well, that is just me. LOL! I don't actually run over stuff, but it is tempting. You do need a fan that works for the Summer.
No need to buy a new fan, an easy and quick fix is to just open it up and unplug the lid motor. Then it will stop closing on its own. You just have to revert to using the old knob to raise / lower the lid. Way cheaper than buying a new one!

I’m sure it was bittersweet leaving the old shop, but it was just a stepping stone for your future endeavors.

That first shop has special meaning. It was literally whether you recognize it or not. The thing that gave you The confidence that you can have a shop that you could run a business and still live in your van. Other people have done the same thing and you've seen that. But seeing somebody do it and you doing it yourself are two different things. You having a shop and having van life gave you the confidence that you could do both. It is literally your stepping stone to what you're building now and that's difficult to let go but sometimes you have to let go of the past before you can go to the future. Those people will still be your friends if you want them to be so it totally isn't gone. It's still there

What a great way to turn 50, lol, and for gifts, Lol, Depends and a chair lift for the stairs, ha ha . But really, handicap enhancements are a great area to exploit, specially since those of us with disabilities get freedom from van life and there is a whole new field of heavy duty mobility scooters / 4 wheel type things. I suggest.

I dont remember what brand of fridge it was,but there is one that even makes ice cubes!

EcoFlow also makes a great fridge that makes ice cubes and even can be powered by its own battery.
Of course Cruisie is a very big fan of the upstairs, that is HIS bachelor pad! 😆
Chrome I used to work in an embroidery shop in a sporting goods store. Those embroidery machines are ridiculously delicate, finicky & difficult to maintain. The heat press is a breeze to handle. The screen printing is a whole different ball park & set of skills & equipment.
And someone mentioned the other day that screen presses require sinks, running water, etc. as well. I don't know anything about it, but as a former old-school typesetter, if they are running inks it is likely to smell heinously in there. And those odors are not toxin-free.
@@victoriabaker4400 inks for tshirts are different. I use them on an individual basis. They are not that bad. But to do multiples, idk, they need a daisy type of wheel that spins the shirts around which is huge space grabber & drying machine, not to mention the ability to clean the screens. There definitely is a huge difference & skill set involved than doing heat press. I love the look of embroidery but the machines are computerized, finicky, delicate & insane to maintain.
@@victoriabaker4400you can use water based inks that do not smell. Plastisol would definitely smell.
@@georgiacorey954chrome knows everything thats needed if he ever chooses to do silk screening in house. He even has that area wired for the drying machine. And he has a helper who has experience with silk screening :)

Maybe think about a fire escape out the back of the building. Cut a door in the back wall at the top of your stairs and build stairs to the ground, with railings of course. If your downstairs shop has a fire you're stuck upstairs without a way out.
He is buying us a fire ladder. We can open a window and climb down if we need to. He really does think of this stuff✌️
No top windows and he said it is not drivable. I doubt it would pass inspections either.

Love U-Line, got a heavy duty pallet puller and chain from them, but couldn't ever use it!! To heavy to lift and the chain was long enough to go the length of a trailer and super heavy! Wasn't what I ordered for a cargo van use, and they didn't want it back, but did send me what I needed!! I think they are still upstairs in storage!!
Well fiddle farts, I missed out on the short sleeve tee... again.
