There are no words to describe how mutch I love Ramin. The way he speaks, sings, acts and of course his love for his boy's and his very strong love bond with Sierra it's all amazing. Ramin is pefect in every singal detail. God bless!
More than wanting to know the details of why he cannot sing this TIHYS I am mostly heartbroken. However I can understand why some people including myself cannot do or listen to curtain things because it triggers something sad inside of me. It's just that he's rendition of that song is simply the BEST I've ever heard and to know that I will never get the experience to go hear him sing it live breaks my heart. I don't think I will enjoy anyone else's singing it without thinking of Ramin.
without getting into it too much: it is honestly just a very difficult song for Ramin to sing, emotionally... it brings back things that have happened (not just LND) and he found the more he sang it, the harder it became on him... so he decided to give it up (for his own emotional health).

I used to dislike opera mostly cuz half side of my family did but i always had a deep secret love for it, now im in love with it....and watching The Phantom of the Opera Ramin pulled me out of my seat with his voice behind the mirror.....it would be a dream come true to see him perform for real, or even just meet him :D He's a huge inspiration for me being from Canada like me, I dream of singing and performing on broadway....and most of all someday be Christine in The Phantom of the Opera
I am impressed by the interviewer's ability to draw out such intimate information from Ramin. Who knew one could or want to connect with a suit at a deep level? Perhaps Ramin wanted to share at that moment and place? Nevertheless, this is a substantial interview that filled in many blanks about Ramin.
I just recently noticed that his accent changes a little depending on who he’s talking with. Especially with his kids, he sounds more British and even his pronunciation changes.
I'm amazed that he'd even share that much private thought in an interview. The song itself says plenty, I think. Despite what he said, IMO, the best rendition may not be from the show itself, but the concert style at the Olivier award. There is a good quality video here.

He also said that the song feels different out of character and I think it's because of that too, when he was acting as the Phantom he imagined the Phantom singing it to Christine, but singing it as Ramin it reminds him of Sierra (since they're friends and they were the original cast) and it's kinda sad for him... at least that's what I think :) Or maybe it has something to do with his family, you know... being far from your family has to be a difficult thing and he probably misses his wife and children... but I don't know. I read or heard an interview with him about his tattoos and in it he said, his agent or manager had to tell him to stop getting tattoos if he still wanted to work in theatre.
he should play Jekyll/Hyde in the musical! He would be AMAZING in that role! I wonder if when his appendix burst is when Tam Mutu covered for him during Love Never Dies?I wonder what the deep reason is why he doesn't like singing TIHYS? Maybe he misses Sierra? lol. What tv/film is he doing?!

I highly doubt it -- he rarely reads reviews and even more rarely (re-)watches his own performances.
