+Clay Davis IKR i think if i ever get to see something like this i will melt in my chair, never saw the show! started with the book, then the movie, then youtube suggested me to watch Sierra singing Think of Me on this 25th anniversary edition and I have been haunted by it ever since
I love how Sierra says it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. She never imagined playing Christine in Broadway's 25th Anniversary. I wish I could have been there for both anniversaries. She's phantastic!
Once in a lifetime to be on the same stage as Michael Crawford, Sara Brightman and Andrew Lloyd Webber! That will most likely never happen again... I'm surprised Brightman agreed to sing, but what an amazing encore!!!
4:43 Is it just me, or is it surprisingly *really difficult* to force yourself to _laugh_ in a stylized or dramatic way and make it sound genuine?? TRY it. Ramin is even pitch-perfect with his FREAKING *LAUGH!!* like it's gotta sound genuine and full, but also malicious and vaguely threatening.
1:43 Imagine that Ramin actually had this deformity and they're talking to him like it's an everyday thing, I love it. Why can't this happen to people who are actually deformed and we talk to them like the human beings they are instead of laughing at them? (Got the idea because of how convincing the makeup looks)
wow, this is cool! Bravo Ramin and Sierra, they where so great! Ramin is my favorite phantom, not saying he is the best, but he is the one who moves me the most emotionally especially in the finale, he is so emotional in the end, it seems like the cameras and the audience are not even there, it is just him and Christine! Sierra is so emotional too. What chemistry they have together on stage, totally in tune with each other emotionally and physically!
I am seriously so impressed by the crew that worked so hard to make all the sets and especially the chandelier work flawlessly. A lot of people just see the finished product, but there is so much hard work and determination that comes from the techs and this would not have been possible without them!
I love the scene where Erik screws with La Charlotta's voice :P hahaha! And then his evil laugh added to it; PER-FECT! I had to keep myself from laughing with him myself XD
Has anyone noticed that the English 'interpretation' of Christine's last name, "Daae" would naturally be "Day", not the "Die-Yay" of the French pronunciation? The Phantom represented darkness and Christine, the light of day. Where they meet we'd call 'twilight', but that period of time is fleeting. They were star-crossed lovers from the onset.
Oh my word, who is the actress who plays Carlotta at about 4:44 she steals the spotlight from Ramin pretending to lose her voice, lol? What a fantastic job they did in casting her, well everyone really.
Lol he seems so playful when he points at Wendy when she croaks, he's cute XD But then again, Ramin's gesture matches a very childish yet mad/psychotic character of Phantom, so it's also really creepy.
I totally get the small space problem. The theater I perform in has one dressing room as big as a bathroom that holds all of our costumes, make-up, and props as well as up to 10 actors during shows on one side. On the other is a small bathroom that has a toilet (that we cannot use during shows), a sink, and cans of paint. Our walk way between the rooms is a small 30 inch hallway that hold up to a 70 person cast. I totally get the small space problem.
I saw the original cast with Brightman and Crawford in NY when this musical was HOT and had just come out. However, after watching this recent rendition on Comcast OnDemand i have to say in some respects this was BETTER than the original. It is a musical experience that will live with me forever. Being a singer myself and gifted vocally from the lord above so i've been told. I can say from experience and performing myself that if anyone hasn't seen this MUST SEE IT...!!! It is quite possibly one of THE BEST musicals to have ever hit Broadway folks. So do yourselves a favor and PLEASE watch these extremely gifted musical artists bring this classic Broadway hit to life once again.
When I was 4-7 I had this HUGE crush on this Phantom and I still sort of do, Because his work is absolutely beautiful, He's Just amazing to look at overall. The way he sings and acts is also very impressive. I'm trying to go to Broadway to become the Phantom so.. Yeah. Wish me luck!
"Today's our first rehearsal. We open in less than two weeks." Does this mean first rehearsal as a full cast altogether or entirely? Because even though the 25th anniversary is one of the best casts I've ever seen you'd think that for a professional production they'd be a little more organized
It was probably first rehearsal on stage. They probably had small rehearsals elsewhere, but 2 weeks before is probably when the move into the theatre/royal Albert hall. I can't say for sure but that what I think she meant.
(Yes I know I'm 5 months late with this but still...) I don't think it was necessarily a matter of being unorganised. Most (if not all) of the performers were in other shows at the time in theatres all across London (and probably some elsewhere too) which would naturally make getting the entire cast together for rehearsals difficult, to say the least. And while the concerts were a professional production, they'd still take second priority to whatever the cast would normally be doing (since it would only be a single day's performance).
Mo Clarke Murray I’m three years late but when they did the anniversary performance, it was actually three performances and they filmed the finale performance to put on dvd and the other two weren’t filmed.
When you're this level of professionalism, you can understand the script, learn your lines, know your music... All you have to do is bring it together on stage. Especially for people who have played these roles before it doesn't seem like that's not long enough to perfect it.
The first time I watched Poto Iasked what the mask was for.My mom said you will see, that made me scared so when she took the mask off I covered my face!
In my opinion, this is THE BEST version of Phantom ever - Ramin and Sierra are fantastic
My passion for this show is endless.
***** ikr.. like seriously endless. listened to the phantom since I was grade 7 and now im grade 11..
Same same same
Bruh I'm in college. Like supposed to be a grown up but then I'm like, "Nah I'd rather have a magical lasso..."
+Clay Davis IKR i think if i ever get to see something like this i will melt in my chair, never saw the show! started with the book, then the movie, then youtube suggested me to watch Sierra singing Think of Me on this 25th anniversary edition and I have been haunted by it ever since
The 25th Anniversary is the absolute best! I highly recommend it!
"The phantom tries to make himself gorgeous, handsome." BUT HE IS
The free full stage show online brought you here.
100%
honestly im not mad about it
Marco Motroni ??? you didnt have to??? they literally released it for free on youtube for 48 hours no need to be rational. go donate the money instead
Marco Motroni i guess you watched it live?
addy oh damn my bad I thought you guys meant like a bootleg. My mistake
Ramin should have gone out wearing that mask and do a hidden camera and capture how people will react and treat him with that deformity on his face.
YAASSSS
+etrnlygr8tful I would have started to sing Christine's high notes lol.
OMG, yes!
But is there a camera very small for that?
@@LauraBwayMorris Now there is. Back then, not really sadly.
4:49 - Ramin points at Wendy and she croaks is one of the funniest things I've seen.
Jemima TheKitten I'm literally dead he is so hot and sexy and funny and his voice OMG
Sierra in the background 😍
4:42 to 4:55 gotta love Wendy and Ramin "hahahahaHAha" Ramin: *points* Wendy: *croak* "ha" Ramin: *points* Wendy: *croaks* Ramin: *evil laugh*
+Leona Low I love how Sierra was like in the back
Oh Oz YEAH same
Leona Low I LOVE RAMINS LAUGH❤️❤️
i only went back to watch it 100 times
Hadley in the back!
even without the mask (both with and without the make up) Ramin is Gorgeous
I can't get over the makeup, it's sooo AMAZING!
agreed! the make up artist deserves an award!
I know this is 5 years old but Ramin noodles will always be my favorite Phantom, he knocked it out of the park.
"We wanted the greatest cast in the world. And, uh, we got that"
...Heck Yeah you got that!!! :D
So we started the video with Ramin Sierra and hadely taking a selfie, I'm dead
I've relayed the evil laugh about eight times! Love Ramin :)
Same :)
Nicole Rodriguez I love your picture
Anni renee Behold! She's singing to bring down the chandelier!
I saw this 25th anniversary show in the movie theater and was outstanding. Much better than the 2005 movie.
Yes. Much better. And this show is meant to performed on stage, not in movie.
I think Fergusson is one of the best Carlotta's. She seems so nice in person.
That's usually how it works. The biggest and best jerks in theater and movies turn out to be the softest teddy bears in real life.
I love how Sierra says it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. She never imagined playing Christine in Broadway's 25th Anniversary. I wish I could have been there for both anniversaries. She's phantastic!
Self distancing 2020 watching all the phantom documentaries
Sierra, " once in a life time opportunity"
... she does it twice. Lol.
Once in a lifetime opportunity TO DO IT TWICE
Or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play a role and have it filmed for DVD
Once in a lifetime to be on the same stage as Michael Crawford, Sara Brightman and Andrew Lloyd Webber! That will most likely never happen again... I'm surprised Brightman agreed to sing, but what an amazing encore!!!
Thrice.
WHEN HE MENTIONED ABOUT HOW PHANTOM SHOULD BE HANDSOME, MASCULINE MY HEART FLUTTERED
I would try it but then my family would think I'm insane
if the mask was meant to make him look sexy then it worked
You're right about that...
He has it on to hide his deformity. I'd totally go back for the Phantom! Who else would? Like if you would go back to the phantom please.
BOLLOCKS
He doesn’t need the mask to look sexy.
1:43 Imagine that Ramin actually had this deformity and they're talking to him like it's an everyday thing, I love it. Why can't this happen to people who are actually deformed and we talk to them like the human beings they are instead of laughing at them?
(Got the idea because of how convincing the makeup looks)
2:35 aww it was Ramin's birthday
Ramin's attractive normally, but I find him more attractive with the phantom makeup on.
For me the best part of this is when Ramin cues Wendy to croak and then he laughs. It's absolutely fantastic.
wow, this is cool!
Yes indeed.
Absolutely!
I am seriously so impressed by the crew that worked so hard to make all the sets and especially the chandelier work flawlessly. A lot of people just see the finished product, but there is so much hard work and determination that comes from the techs and this would not have been possible without them!
Ramin: "-- on my birthday..." That's pretty cool. What an awesome gift.
It's so cool how they're rehearsing. They're beautiful! WHAT A VIDEO CLIP!! Thanks for the chance to watch this!
Christine is Swedish
Wow, this interpretation is beautiful
Oh my word, who is the actress who plays Carlotta at about 4:44 she steals the spotlight from Ramin pretending to lose her voice, lol? What a fantastic job they did in casting her, well everyone really.
Her name is Wendy Ferguson (:
Thanks.
Carlotta is my fave character actually tied with the phantom made my viewing of this better with her!😍
She was the understudy as well!! Fab performer 😍
4:44 i honestly thought Ramin was laughing because of how she sounded. LMFAO
I love all the cast. I love the bit when Wendy's croaking and Sierra is behind chatting away but I love the all cast you are amazing 😇😇😇😇😇😃😃😃😃😃😍😍😍😍😍
My dream is to play Christine Daae on broadway someday. It's fun to see how it works :P
Same! But my drama teacher favourites other students
4:44 I feel like Ramin is having too much fun here. But who am I to say? It's fantastic 😂
3:25
There is Gardar Thor Cortes!!
He's playing Phantom in Love Never Dies in Hamburg!!
I Love him!!
Loving Hadleys old man beard!
4:42 Watch Ramin closely. You're welcome.
Alison Hanna I'm dead.
Ramin is such a beautiful man and omg I die when he laughs
Lol he seems so playful when he points at Wendy when she croaks, he's cute XD
But then again, Ramin's gesture matches a very childish yet mad/psychotic character of Phantom, so it's also really creepy.
I have watched this video about 200 times
Ramin's evil laugh is so cool!
Best production Ive watched.
Even better than at NYC.
1:53 Has anyone noticed that Hadley's mustache fell off during the selfie lolll
I just did,lol.
I just Saw phantom for the first time it was amazing
God, Hadley is so handsome, but Ramin is really HOT.
I loved this cast and production! The only thing I was bummed about was the chandelier not crashing!?
KerryLynn Turner they couldn’t do it due to the venue not having the correct rigging as they were at a concert hall.
i love Ramin's laugh at 4:50 lmao at it
I saw the original cast with Brightman and Crawford in NY when this musical was HOT and had just come out. I think the goal among all professionals is always to improve where you can.
love how the chandelier has the word 'maria' carved into it.. :)
My best friend is a set designer and he's let me accompany him on some of his projects and it's absolutely amazing what goes into putting on a show.
Such a masterpiece..
Sierra's face at 4.45 tho.... that part is hilarious....
His laugh at 5:00 makes me melt
claire newberry 4:51
Woman : hurr arggh
Ramin:*points at her* "that was her"
Ramin: *devilish laugh*
lmao
RAMIN IS GORGEOUS
Ramin is gorgeous! :D
I need to see the selfie they took!!!
I keep watching the part where Ramin is laughing like a mad man, send help.
omg his laugh devilishly evil ramin is funny lmao
At 4:51 can anyone else see Sierra in the background saying " that's awesome"?
I wonder what they did with the chandelier...
Its probably hanging in Lloyd Webbers bedroom :)
Probably.
I'm annoyed they didn't make the chandelier fall!
HC Everyone would die if they did that
There is no way the chandelier could of fallen in that hall
"Today's our first rehearsal. We open in less than two weeks." Does this mean first rehearsal as a full cast altogether or entirely? Because even though the 25th anniversary is one of the best casts I've ever seen you'd think that for a professional production they'd be a little more organized

Ha, that's kind of cute! You saw his face eventually, right?
It's his eyes, I think. Look at those, and the rest of his faced could be marred. :P
I love it when Poor Fool He Makes Me Laugh Wendy Sings and in the croaks Ramin points then he laughs it is funny!
that is my favourite the phantom of the opera
We were there on it was mind blowing so beautiful
This was uploaded on my 24th Birthday.
i need to watch this before i die
Ramin's laugh at 4:50 is so HOT! AHH!!
It's funny because the first "evil" laugh Ramin does! Looks/sounds like that could be his actual laugh. Just saying.
1:53 Selfieee!
Thanks. I had seen that pic so much, and I couldn't figure out why he was wearing it.
I've always wondered who, if anyone, actually bid on Lot 666.
Ramin you really adore people to death!
nope thats wendy, just without make up for carlotta and the wig :) x i love how she empahsises the ha in this clip tho
Katie Hall at 3:26 :)
Really?
Like many other Phangirls ;) I would wanna be Christine even though I'm not a soprano. It would be great to perform this on stage.
at 3:26, Gardar Thor Cortes, the other phantom is there as well XD
one day l will work there!
Ramin is so cool as phantom he is tied with Gerard at first
The best part was when Christine Smacked her hands on the floor 😂
This is perfect.
1:55 Oh my god. They are seriously so cute.
3:26 isn't that the phantom from the paris production that was cancelled because of the fire?
Hold up...did I just hear him say they had ONE technical rehearsal in the space the afternoon before the performance? *jaw drops*
So they prepare the whole thing is less than 2 weeks?
Mindblowing
it was for the beginning at the auction
Wait they had less than 2 weeks to rehearse? Do they just mean rehearse on stage or full rehearsals or what?
laurence at his best.x
it's because during rehersals for POTO he is still playing every night in Les Mis
so~~~~~~~good i like opera
Rierra is the best pairing of the Phantom. I said what I said
Ilove you somuch miss
@RazzleMdazzleM, she was.
I wish i could be Christine. There's just one small problem; I can't sing for toffee -_- :)
Can you sing for a Klondike Bar?
To be honest for me the chandelier fall in this version was a little anti climatic in the west end it actually falls I was expecting it with this too
funny when Ramin says his line for the chandler....
Who'S that woman playing carlotta at the rehearsals??? (4:20)
this is 7 years late but her name's wendy ferguson
