This area is an absolute gem. I've been visiting from the Pgh, Pa area for two decades to mountain bike and hike. The camping along whitmer is lined with beautiful hiking and riding along the gandy creek. The dolly sods are right down the road from davis as well! Looking forward to it part 2.

Great video. I'm from around Parkersburg WV so I appreciate the video. Been exploring those mountains since I was a little kid with my Dad. Used to take my son with me when he was little and now just me, the wife, and the dog. On another note, its nice to see married people still holding hands when they walk.

You guys do such a fantastic job of video production! The narrating, camera angles, and editing really show off each trail that you do and what to expect. I have always enjoyed the outdoors but never had a vehicle capable of some of these trails. I didn't realize the extent to the Forest Roads in this area because I didn't know how to find them and only having a 2wd truck I didn't want to get in a situation I couldn't get out of. I didn't realize how many of these roads are accessible by almost any vehicle also and we just took our little old beatup ranger and explored all afternoon into the night without even getting close to stuck. I have a large truck for work but I got a 4x4 after getting stuck many times a year in my last work truck and have decided even though it's a big dually I'm still going and exploring what I can until I get a more capable vehicle. While it doesn't go like a jeep we are still having a blast exploring all these places and have only had to use the 4x4 a couple times. I got me a set of 33" coopers like yours and love them.

The interesting thing is that when you found the "perfect spot" to cook the birthday dinner in the rain, I recognized the spot. The reason I recognized the spot is that I am the guy who drove past you the next morning. I actually saw you all there camping. Hello folks over at Coddiwomple! love the vids! I have a question... My wife and I are deciding whether or not to get into Overlanding in our mid retirement, we are both EX avid hikers,. I can't carry a pack, nor can I walk miles anymore without a pack ,due to a spinal fusion.. I'm still mobile, and we miss the backcountry. that said, are the suspensions soft enough in those gladiators, that it's not a jolting ride and more of a squishy ride? I can handle moderate bumps at mid speeds ok in my chevy passenger van for decent amounts of time.. when trekking like that though.. my thought is ,crawling shouldn't be to jolting?... but on dirt roads where you are traveling at a moderate speed ,how abusive is that in a well suspended rubicon? I understand everyone is different and we all can tolerate at different levels. many replies from anyone who is experienced in Overlanding would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello. Getting into overlanding is a great way to explore and get in to nature. My recommendation would be a Mojave as the suspension is much more plush and more suited towards Offroad trails as apposed to the Rubicon being more suitable for rock crawling with its front locker and sway bar disconnect. If is very, very rare if ever at all that you will need a front locker. We don't have a front locker. As far as a swaybar disconnect, that does help in the ride also I would recommend the Apex sway bar disconnects on a Mojave. Hope this helps. We are happy to answer any other questions that you may have

Hey man. I have a pretty built 2000 chevy Silverado 1500, 4.5inch lift, 33 x 12.5 mud/at falken wildpeaks, rock sliders, winch, etc... the only thing is its 2wd. Do you think I would be alright on this trail (if I pick the right day)?
