Miss Bisscute greetings from Mexico City where this movie was filmed, i gave this film 4.5 Stars same as you, so many mexican actors performing. If you liked Denzel's performance for future reactions I recommend some of his many films: the Equalizer saga (three films 2014, 2018 and 2022, it is as good as John Wick), also Training Day (2001) with which Denzel won the Oscar, you should also see: Remember the Titans (2000), a magnificent sports movie, Fallen 1998 (where Denzel chases an over-the-top killer) and Gloria about the American Civil War. Have a nice Day.
I'll say 4 out of 5 only because I've watched training day and that one is next level.
By the way, in relation to the movie Miss Bisscute, the actor who plays the girl's father is a famous singer in Spanish with many hits and ex husband of JLO called Marc Anthony, for your other channel you could react to his song: (vivir mi vida) live my life and another curious fact: Dakota Fanning, who played Pita, was reunited acting with Denzel almost 20 years later in another film (Equalizer 3, 2023). I think you'll like that series of films: Equalizer Saga.

Facts!
The Siege is one of my favorite Denzel movies after this one.
That little girl is Dakota Fanning. She is a little phenom of an actor. The first thing I saw her in was a movie with Sean Penn called I Am Sam, and she was like only 4 or 5 years old, but her performance was amazing. Penn's was too, cos he played a man with mentally-development challenges, and the father to Fanning's character, who faced legal struggles to keep custody of his daughter despite his challenges. Michelle Pfeiffer is also in it, as his legal counsel/advocate (one or the other if not both) and it's just a great movie - I really think you'll like it.
Dakota is the older sister of Elle Fanning who you may see or have seen in more recent films. At some point, as she got older, Dakota sort of dropped out of the spotlight and Elle became more of a presence.
This movie is fire, no pun intended. It has remained among my favorites for almost 20 years now. Wow, just realized it’s been that long and it seems like yesterday. For me it is a 5 out of 5. Creasy is one of those rare main characters for me who is easily and deeply empathized with.
As a Mexican-American this movie hit me in the feels and such an impact on how dark Mexico can be but also to show the beauty of the country too. This is one of my favorite movies from Denzel Washington. The other movie you mentioned called Flight is another one of my favorites from him. I think you will enjoy that movie as well.

If you enjoy the revenge aspect, which I also do, please react the The Equalizer, and #2 is also decent.
But the first one is excellent, Denzel stars also, very popular reaction also.
Denzel Washington has a whole library of fantastic works, he is one of those actors that never has bad movies really ever. Action, suspense down the line
"She showed him it was alright to live again."
Gives me chills every time. Basically translates to, "She showed him the good inside that he couldn't see in himself."

You should watch Glory with Denzel Washington and Morgan freeman two amazing men I admire most in Hollywood. With all the pos celebrities these two men are the most genuine actors that we have today. Glory is an American Civil War film that shows the struggles that African Americans sacrifice not only for their country but for respect. I have nothing but respect for these two men.
You can add Philadelphia to the list of movies where Denzel Washington shares the screen with another great actor, Tom Hanks. That movie is so damned good.
For me this movie is a 5 star movie. Really like the chemistry between Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning. It remains to this day my favorite revenge/justice movie or as you mentioned satisfactory. And overal great acting performances. If you liked this, I would suggest to watch the 3 equalizer movies. On a sidenote, I went to see this movie in the cinema and it was quiet amazing to notice how people were noisy in the beginning and at the end it was very silent.

Denzel Washington is such a great actor. If interested in other movies from him I recommend (John Q) or (Training Day). There's many more but these two are really good. John Q will definitely pull your heart strings and Training Day you will have mixed emotions!!

I've no doubt many commentors will have recommended more of Denzel's more well known movies, but as I have done with several reactors - I'd like to recommend a rather brilliant, but criminally underrated Denzel film & my personal favourite: ''Fallen''!......

Denzel flicks are all incredible watches...everything he does is top tier, but some of the more famous flicks that are tremendous films to react to: Glory (1989, historical), Malcom X (1992, biographical), Philadelphia (1993, drama), Courage Under Fire (1996, drama/war), He Got Game (1998, sports), Remember the Titans (2000, sports/biographic), Training Day (2001, crime thriller), John Q (2002, thriller/drama), American Gangster (2007, biographical/crime), Flight (2012, drama), The Equalizer (2014, action) and it's sequels. Can't go wrong with any of these.
The Equalizer serie is great to watch. Denzel at his best. From the older movies Ricochet, Philadelphia and the classic The Bone Collector or The Book of Eli.
The actress who played the little girl in the movie was reunited with Denzel Washington in the latest Equalizer movie. The first Equalizer is great, the second okay, and the third very good

There are times I watch that I wish I could sit and explain things as you are watching like a wise American Godfather. On your list, Biss, Unstoppable. I lived through that one in Findlay, Ohio, USA. In Man on Fire, the music is super important, as it was one of the first few scores by nine inch nails' Trent Reznor.
Hello from Switzerland, it's great that you chose this film, which in my opinion is clearly not enough known. One of the most blatant, somehow brutal films, but not just a massacre, but for an understandable reason.
I thought it was clear from his history that he, among other things, worked for the CIA and probably saw/did more than was good for him, purely emotionally.
The medallion he received from Pita, “Patron Saint of Lost Souls”, could not have been a more appropriate choice.
"...his art is death and he is about to paint his masterpiece." Such expressions are simply almost priceless in a film like this.
I'm still struggling a bit with the ending, it actually doesn't make sense for him to sacrifice himself, after all he has the money, the brother and the pregnant ex-wife, which actually outweigh Pita's life, but it's probably the case, he didn't actually want to be whole get out of the matter but have already finished with life.
I would also highlight the unusual choice of music, but it fits the film perfectly.
I agree 1,000% with your statement that you don't do things like that as a father, there's no way to justify that. I would go through hell to protect a grandchild from harm (my daughter is big enough to defend herself 😛).
It wasn't so much of a sacrifice. He had been shot multiple times and was going to die no matter what. Going with the kidnappers guaranteed pitas safety

And… features “Blue Bayou” by Linda Ronstadt! So good!
It's the use of phrases such as "explosive diarrhea" that makes you a cut above other reactors.

You watch interviews of Dakota Fanning from back then, she is just as precocious and intelligent as her character. And she was really open and as matter of fact about all the dental work she went through growing up. She already has a long list of film, television, and awards and is only 29 today.
Amazingly her younger sister has probably just as long of a film and television list. She's amazing in the series "The Great".

To me, this movie and "The Equalizer" are the best Denzel movies. Critics place these two closer to the bottom of his work, so what do i know? I just like what I like, and he's very impressive in both movies.

A great movie. I picked up up when it first came out, at the video store (remember those), without knowing anything about it. I figured it was going to be a "blowed up real good" mind in neutral movie. By the time it was over, I was a mess.
Denzel has a long and excellent list of good movies. "Malcolm X" is amazing. "Flight", "American Gangster", "Training Day", "Crimson Tide", etc... but "Philadelphia" would be an excellent one to do next, with Denzel and Tom Hanks. It's an incredibly powerful movie.

You have to watch John Q. It's one his best movies ever and it's a true story. Such an amazing film and hard to believe it's real.

If the ending feels a bit sudden it's bc there is an alternate ending where Denzel uses the c4 on himself to meet the voice face to face only to blow them all up..

I think a movie you will like even though its such a devastating topic is "Sound of Freedom" released in 2023 with the main actor being Jim Caviezel. Its about Child Trafficking and its based on a true story. A touch watch :(

Glory is my fave Denzel movie, and Inside Man...there are a lot of good ones. His son is also an actor; I enjoyed his movie BlacKkKlansman.

This is one of my most favorite movies of all time. The acting by Dakota Fanning & Denzel Washington were incredible. Especially Dakota, for a child to be that good is amazing. I can’t imagine my little nephew who was her age remembering lines & being to portray a whole different person that good.

Flight , The Equalizer and The Manchurian candidate are my favorites and would recommend to anyone.
For you, for other Denzel Washington movies, I'd recommend starting with The Equalizer (2014), The Equalizer 2 (2018), and The Equalizer 3 (2023). Then maybe Crimson Tide (1995) and The Bone Collector (1999).

EVERYTHING DENZEL IS IN IS AWESOME!! HE KILLS EVERY ROLE Training Day, Glory, John Q, Remember the Titans are a few of my favorite! He won the Oscar for Best Actor for Training Day, and Best Supporting Actor in Glory. Glory is historically accurate with an ensemble cast about one of the first black units in the Civil war. The cast is loaded! But once again, Denzel is one of the best ever, you really can't go wrong with him!

Denzel is one of the greatest actors of all time. If you're looking for more from him Glory is a masterpiece, and the cast is phenomenal. The Hurricane is likely his finest performance. Training Day won him another Oscar. The Equalizer is based on a TV Show and sort of like this movie. Book of Eli is great, plus it features Gary Oldman who is also an exceptional actor. John Q is heartbreaking. And if course Remember the Titans. But the Denzel film you MUST MUST MUST see is Fallen. It's one of the greatest horror films of all time, I don't want to run why is so freaking good, but it's amazing - and great acting as well
Denzel is in a league of his own as an actor and as a human being he is an example of what the world needs more of. I have done Carpentry work for Don Ferrarone the man who wrote the book from which the movie was made. I been and still working on a project for him. Hopefully he refers me to denzel one day 🤞

That's something you get so sick of _hearing,_ watching this movie.
You should check out Deja Vu, another Denzel, director Tony Scott (Ridley's late brother) collaboration. Actually Scott and Washington worked on five movies together. Scott was best known for his visual style which you can see in Man on Fire. Denzel won Oscars for Training Day which is a pretty iconic role and for Glory as Supporting Actor. I wonder if any of your subscribers but me remember him in Saint Elsewhere?

American Gangster and Training Day are 2 of his best. Equalizer series is really good too. And he reunites with Dakota Fanning in Equalizer 3. Worthy!
