Terrific band with Ian MacKaye's brother Alex on vocals. With Mike Hampton guitar, Chris Bald bass and Ivor Hansen drums. A rather dark, angry sound is a hallmark of this early DC hardcore band on Dischord Records. BTW, their split with Void is probably one of the two all time greatest hardcore split albums

so much great music on Dischord. I'm just starting to get into their catalog after, say, 1988. That's because HC was my passion. Recently Ian told me to go deep with Lungfish. And the few albums I've heard by them are terrific. All are on youtube

I like these versions of "In the Black" and "It's Time." The released versions are great, too, in terms of sonic attack, but there's a flavor in MacKaye's vocals here that's very appealing.
