One of the most underated hardcore punk bands of all time
If you consider this HARD ROCK music, then you need to have your hearing checked!!
It's good, but not good enough!!!
Man , " Cold" is brutal . I even avoid listening to " Pornography" at all costs when I´m all messed up for this or that reason , just instigates me to perhaps do the opposite of that which I should do under such circumstances .
That is a pretty grim album indeed .
you litrally have a cure pfp

Kinda ghey bro
I tell tool fans to check out nomeansno their kinda bass oriented jazzy punk

I played this album at my job at Godfather's Pizza in 1986...got fired. My boss named Diane threw the EP and portable turntable in the dumpster and I dumped an uncooked pizza on her goddamned head!!! She had no taste in music at all.
jaxbeachguitars hero!
Godfather's pizza was bomb!
@kids place on channel 9 learn to speak english.
I miss Godfathers Pizza
You should have eaten the pizza out of her ass. I did that once.
THANK YOU FENRIZ
;D discovering good music never ends
MrKanar360
jajajaj yo tambien la busque gracias a fenriz
somos varios jaja
that tramp doesn't know shit about punk rock
1984 not 81, music would be very different is this was the first HC album released!
More joking hc would be for sure if it was 1981
Saw these guys at The Foolkiller Theater Kansas City, MO! '85 I think.
Huh. ..... 84 nobody in the universe would do this in 81
Quite a bit of HC before this. If you have never heard any of the HC from '80 to '83 you should look into it.💀🎧
@@jas31937 best era of it
2020 this album still better than ever! This is why punk will never die⚡🎸⚡
My friend's got a big album collection from the old days, this one's part of it too.. Great stuff!
Essential Masterpiece of pure Hardcore/Punk released in year 1984 !!
I saw you on The "Voodoo Economics" video right?
@@WocklessGamingforAnimeMoms sorry my friend, but after two years you deserve an answer.... I was in an "other world" for a long time, sorry.... ah, ok, if you mean the PROLETARIAT video, you have saw 100% right, of course, I love that band.... Greetings !!
That's gotta be one of the greatest intro tracks of all time
MrKoiking1 hell Yea, never gets boring. I'm still loving the album since I first got it a million years ago!
It blew my mind when it first came out and I continues to blow my mind to this day. I can only hope the band read these comments to see how loved and influential they were and continue to be.
Rock & Roll Gas Station is the greatest song in the history of punk. Period.

I've just realised it's 41 years old now, wow! Time flies... still so powerful! Amazing ageless riffs!
from 1984, not 1981 as stated. Still ancient though :)
I saw this band in 1985 at the Underground Railroad, still have tinnitus.
Hehe yea that does happen sometimes. Was it even that necessary to be so loud? Actually yes it was, this ain’t the goddam Beatles or Rolling Stones.
22:27 this is that part of primitive black metal scream of Fenriz’s video that maybe you come for ahahah
Thank you
Fenriz knows good HC punk \m/
simply the best !, oldschool 80's punker here and thumbs way up for this , can listen all day , love it !!!!!
omg, this takes me back, bit of a shocker that it has been a quarter of a century since I listened to this.. Thanks for reminding me how good this was! Ranks among the greats of that era like DRI and MDC
rj zander "opinion" not fact
Adrenalin OD, MDC and DRI were among the fastest, most extreme bands of the first wave of HC (1981-84).
MDC were great live.
What’s weird is I’m gonna see DRI in Dallas not long from now. It’s not the 80s, and they’re not the same, but I can’t wait! Saw em in 2019, too & they only played one or two of their crossover songs (5 Year Plan & something else). Hell, even AOD briefly reunited not too many years ago & there’s a video of that show. I do miss the 80s, though!
Dri? Really?
With all the bullshit of being middle aged going back to 1981 is a welcomed experience. Thanks for making me feel like a juvenile delinquent again.
Played the hell out of this record. Skateboarding and HC punk. Before it was packaged for safe consumption.
sociHATEy has destroyed punk....
Tried to fix it in 90's. Mall punk ruined it. I got to see these guys open for Battalion of Saints.
A New Jersey hardcore piece of history. Fucking brilliant!
Evil Andy. thank you New Jersey for aod smithereens and electric Frankenstein
How much primitive can you get?
i'm hurling my own shit at my walls.
***** And hit U?
terribly sorry to ruin your day but we're still living peacefully together with our Muslim community, and it seems fake-news are not going to change that anytime soon
Der Pif wait until the demographic starts to change in their favour and they start getting themselves into positions of power in government.......
all of the primitves!
Brings e back to when I was young and imortal, now I am in just over imortal.
Long Live those of us who survived
¡THANKS YOU FENRIZ!
there are so many incredible bands in the 80s. never ending. punk hc scene was at its peak. in england, usa even italy had incredible bands
Fucking kickass attitude portrayed here. 80's hardcore was a killer scene!
Fuck yeah it was!! So much great music came out in the early 80’s via these american hardcore bands it was hard to keep up with sometimes but I’m still listening to them to this day and still love the classics and a lot of the not so classics that slipped under the radar. Even up til 87 with the release of RKL’s Rock N Roll Nightmare, although some would call it a crossover record and they might be right but I like to think of it as the last great hardcore album.
god damn... it's like every year there are another thousand great bands i gotta find and listen to. okay... lets do this.
AmericaTheEngravy sauce. look up electric frankenstein sick songs
One of the 80's best albums all categories.
I had this on cassette years ago but the cover was green, not pink. Liner notes said "recorded in our underwear" lol. Thanks for uploading! A.O.D. are a forgotten underrated band.
bikerscout2012 never forgotten :D
I have both the But Our Records cassette and LP of this - the cassette was green and the LP was pink.
One of the first Hardcore albums I bought. 🤘🏻
Wow never heard this record before. Killer album. The energy and passion holds out all the way through. I fucking looove hardcore.
Like a fine wine, AOD just get's better with age!!
Jesse Rothbeind is it even possible for then to get any better!
for good or bad, this album greatly influenced me in the mid 80's while growing up in New Jersey.
Same here. Only growing up about 8000 miles from new jersey
They were great (and very funny) live. There was a song called "Paul's not home" that is not on this (just the intro) that they would start with the same intro and kick into the song; At one show at CBGB's they started with "Hello Mrs. Richards is Paul home?" and the whole band yelled "YES" and they walked off the stage. : )
Jonathan Smythe I had one of the first copies to come to the UK and it blew my mind. still a fan all these years later. It's great to hear from people who actually got to see them live!
This is good. Nice guitar work. Old enough to remember the original punk music in L.A. but was too young to go to any clubs. That was a big no-no back then, plus you had to know someone who knew someone who knew somebody that knew where these bands were playing. I'd heard of this band but this is my first time actually hearing them. RUclips is for this sort of thing!!!
Bout time they re release the first two albums... still in need of those!!
Yeah same here,awesome album!
I still have my vinyl.
The musical equivalent of a good solid kick to the balls.
Best analogy ive seen yet.
I had bout 5 weaker or sidekicks to the balls.but 1 biich had clogs and always got me smack in the middle of the line of scrimmage..back when pain was real.
Slayer
that's fucking primitive! YES!!!!!
Thank you very much! After all these years,I still love this stuff! Thanks and take care from Iowa!
extremely underrated hardcore!!!!
my metalhead friends hated this in high school, their loss!!!
You sent them running back to their Bon Jovi and Van Halen records for comfort and reassurance I’m sure.
The first track AOD vs Godzilla nearly borders on thrash metal, so reminiscent of Sadus' first album.
+ElvisBluntman777 Hardcore and Thrash go hand and hand y'know ;)
Well, It sounds a lil bit like Diamond head's Am I Evil intro.
@@Punk93Metal hand in hoof*
Charlie from SOD said AOD was a big influence
That riff really reinds.me of something, moght actually be a sadus track ill check
here because of fenriz, darkthrone ftw !!
fuck that guy buy this cd and feel it live in your home bitch you will never want anythng else but 80's hardcore LONG LIVE REAL PUNK!!!!!!!
😊
Lord Beherit. what
haha lol me too xd
Why the hate for fenriz. The guy is the most down to earth music reviwer out there. He loves old school shit and brings it to new audiences.
one of my first albums ----greetz from germoney
This is just a great album!!!
I hear nirvana everywhere on this album
Great material. . but I found different information about this album - The Wacky Hijinks of Adrenalin OD, released 1984, and reissued in 2008 on Chunksaah Records.
Yeah, definitely not released in '81. Great record regardless. Chunksaah does a good job representing NJ.
This is from 1980, but as the East Paterson Boys Choir. When they changed to Adrenolin O.D, they pressed it and put it out, which may have been 81/2. But the tape was in existence before that with most of the songs
sawed in a living room, great show!
"rockinroll gas station",hell yeah!
These cats leave it wrecked😊
Love this album!!!!
One of the best bands I ever experienced!!! So real/so aggro!
the true hardcore punk.
I fucking loved this album.
1984, not 1981. Great still of course.
this is what it's about thanks for putting it up.
The "we'll be right back as soon as you flip the record over" part is missing....
these guys and Crucial Youth - 2 great NJ HC bands from the day
City Gardens Trenton NJ !
This and "Humungousfungusamongus" are essential H/C. And one of the greatest band names in H/C history!
Plus the Let's Barbeque EP from 83
Adrenalin OD. Phew, gets me pumped just thinking this band’s name
Should be required listening for anyone with any interest in american hardcore.
FUCK YES AOD. FUCKING AMAZING.
TYVM for the upload. Love me some A.O.D
....all these years later and Paul's still not home. Get a milk carton... quick...
A OTHER LEGEND.. great musicien....
My brother Todd had this!!📻🙋💥🤘⚡📻✨💯🎶☁️✈️
a symphony of feedback. Every time I hear this it has a different mix, for some reason nothing sounds as good as vinyl transferred to a cheap cassette.
Zappa!
Hang at Joes garage?
centralscrutinizer66 There's just enough room to cram the drums!
barely! weird recording
Released in 1984. not 1981!
i'm completely blown away.
Pretty damn freakin good
this album is awesome. faster than bad brains or middle class.. this is d.r.i. speed! uploader, that's the wrong year. AOD's first recordings were on the '82 comp "new york thrash". this first LP was recorded/released 1984.
Let's BBQ around 1983...? Thanks Jersey, I miss you.
thats what i thought...
First heard 'new years eve' on "new york thrash" compilation.
Meyer Films ABCD D is for dead hijk bullet in the head I hate music I love noise the dope in New York is mediocre it used to be half alright but I'll never be the same again after shooting Asian White
Heroin just masks the issue man, I know that sadly all too well, and AOD has nothing to do with that junk drug
I had that cassette from ROIR !
Wish I could've seen their reunion show!!!
There were only a few bands that could play this fast and have it still be toe tapping music.
There were actually a lot of them.
i remember seeing this in Rasputin's in Berkeley as a teen
Good forever
I've been looking for this album for a long time
Even on the internet?
Can you guys recomend me Hardcore Punk like this? I like Punk but I don't know as much as I would like to, (I know some the most prominent names of course, being Cro-Mags my favorite one).
Ill Repute, Dr. Know, Minor Threat, Negative Approach, Millions of Dead Cops, Life Sentence, Gorilla Biscuits, Batallion of Saints, D.R.I., Anti Cimex, Black Uniforms, Discharge, Chaos Uk, Jodie Foster's Army, Moderat Likvidation, Necros, Atomvinter, etc...
You want this kind of super speedy, borderline thrash hardcore, or just any classic hardcore?
Off the top of my head, Verbal Abuse is another really good hardcore band that played pretty fast and VERY aggressively. Bad Brains also played very fast and they are ESSENTIAL hardcore listening. D.I. had a couple songs like Youth In Asia that reached this level of speed.
Neos, Negative Approach, Zero Defects, SNFU, Mecht Mensch, Deep Wound, Seige, SSD, DYS, Jerrys Kids, FU's, Septic Death, Final Conflict from Mn, Husker Du, The Worst, Chronic Sick, Urban Waste, The Mob, The Abused, Reagan Youth, SOA, Faith, VOID, Clitboys, Necros, The Fix, White Cross, NOTA, Agnostic Front, MDC, Dicks, Big Boys, Naked Raygun, Sluggo, Deadline from DC, Zero Boys, Articles of Faith, Accused, ANTI, Verbal Abuse, Code of Honor, Social Unrest, Agression, Ill Repute, RKL, False Confessions, Stalag 13, Infest, Crossed Out,

I love the Hardcore scene for its energy not its talent... But to be honest talent does amount for whether its good or not... After all music is subjective but now I'm just rambling on... Great Band regardless!
One of the best punk albums!
thanks Jersey!
When I listen to this, I think of the Suburban Mutilation Lp. When I listen to Suburban Mutilation, I think of this album. Very similar raw HC attack. Both awesome.
Suburban Mutilation from Wisconsin right? Great bands came out of Wisc in the 80s.

ACCURATE ... that one is a blower !!!
Saw them in 1985 cbgbs. All skinheads well mostly. Weird gig. Lol
New jersey hardcore wins again !!!!!
I forget who headlined AF I believe
hardcore!!! thanks for uploading
HEY DUDE FILL IT UP MAN
Heavy as hell
Yeah!!!! Ahah great, amazing.. And yes the guitars sound like old black metal from norway, don't you think?
There's a video where Fenriz from Darkthrone talks about the band. Check it out it's hilarious. that's how I learned about this band and I can only say that I'm not disappointed.
+Kevin Forrierre thanks !
Yeah blackmetal ripped off the best punk band why would'nt they its smart.
UUHM ,nope, you mean old black metal from norway sounds like this, right?
Had this on cassette
The 6 that gave thumbs down are listening to that awful radio pop/autotune while pissing sitting down!
you represent totally what you refuse, idiot! to be conform with the mass, even when its the sub.....kind of fascist attitude...btw, to sit down to piss is just a problem for men with less self esteem
I like to piss sitting down when I'm drunk
Hahhahaha I was about to write the same thing.
What's so bad about pissing sitting down, it's chill after a long day.
I stand up to poop
Holy fuck finally thanks
the fuck the first song reminds me so much of am I evil by diamond head.
1984, not 1981.
Not much more you can say about this than "FUCK YA!!!"
Glorious.
Wow, the postings on this album go political. I know the times we live in, but why'd anyone drag that sorta thing into a band that was purely fun inclusive hardcore punk?! Still a proud owner of the Buy Our pressing's test press and Blue vinyl (it does exist, I'm just a lazy punk fuck who doesn't care to post it online-ask the guys who are true old heads, not some 38 yr old guy)
I got it...And humungus...My first mental tornado...
Incredible.
rich kids from suburbia.... gotta love them
Finally found it!
