Man , " Cold" is brutal . I even avoid listening to " Pornography" at all costs when I´m all messed up for this or that reason , just instigates me to perhaps do the opposite of that which I should do under such circumstances .
That is a pretty grim album indeed .

So much great music came out in the early 80’s via these american hardcore bands it was hard to keep up with sometimes but I’m still listening to them to this day and still love the classics and a lot of the not so classics that slipped under the radar. Even up til 87 with the release of RKL’s Rock N Roll Nightmare, although some would call it a crossover record and they might be right but I like to think of it as the last great hardcore album.

There was a song called "Paul's not home" that is not on this (just the intro) that they would start with the same intro and kick into the song; At one show at CBGB's they started with "Hello Mrs. Richards is Paul home?" and the whole band yelled "YES" and they walked off the stage. : )

You want this kind of super speedy, borderline thrash hardcore, or just any classic hardcore?
Off the top of my head, Verbal Abuse is another really good hardcore band that played pretty fast and VERY aggressively. Bad Brains also played very fast and they are ESSENTIAL hardcore listening. D.I. had a couple songs like Youth In Asia that reached this level of speed.

I love the Hardcore scene for its energy not its talent... But to be honest talent does amount for whether its good or not... After all music is subjective but now I'm just rambling on... Great Band regardless!

When I listen to this, I think of the Suburban Mutilation Lp. When I listen to Suburban Mutilation, I think of this album. Very similar raw HC attack. Both awesome.

Wow, the postings on this album go political. I know the times we live in, but why'd anyone drag that sorta thing into a band that was purely fun inclusive hardcore punk?! Still a proud owner of the Buy Our pressing's test press and Blue vinyl (it does exist, I'm just a lazy punk fuck who doesn't care to post it online-ask the guys who are true old heads, not some 38 yr old guy)
