I think any protest has a similar component, which is to bring awareness to an affecting subject like war, disease, hunger,
atrocities,etc.
Charlottville was the protest to shine a light on the Nazi hatred, fear of Jews replacing them. This protest caused Jews to be killed in a synagogue in Pittsburgh and in a synagogue in Poway, Ca. The pro Palestinian protests have caused disruption of various events at many university campuses so far. Big difference . Strange that jews are affected by both.
