Nick and Harlan, the breadth and depth of every single one of your videos from your trip to the States has been incredible. I literally was watching this on my TV and had to pick up my phone and find this video and comment. Thank you for your contribution in time and effort in addition to the consistency in quality. Bravo!
I love this store so much! The atmosphere inside is so peaceful and so warm, it's my favorite place to wander into on a cold winter day. I always spend more time and more money than I mean to, the staff is always so helpful and kind, and the "Scaping Dojo" is a really nice feature to play around with. Can't recommend them enough, 10/10
This store literally started my obsession with aquascaping! Wandered in one day and came back within the week to buy my first aquarium. Love it there so so much!
I have seen many vireos of this store but I think you have done the best job catching the essence of the place and the outlook of the owner.Thank you.🐠🐟
Very cool store! When he's talking about outdoor container ponds I have one I move outside over the summer on my deck and back inside over the winter. It's planted with endlers, dwarf rainbows, Cory's and a couple reo altum angels.very different perspective then an aquarium and I love it!
What a fantastic store ... I would be guilty of just walking around on a stressful day to decompress if I was within 20 miles of it!! Which would of course include buying fish and plants and all of the things!!!
I have my first fresh water tank - I did all the right things - soaked everything - built up the community of small fish slowly - all going so well. Bought two loaches - put them in the tank. Never seen them again. Would have been nice if someone told us they are noctournal. Hahahaha
I love seeing cool and well maintained clean LFS's. Wish I had more of these in my area. Really like those tank stands as well. I have a ton of woodworking stuff in the garage, I'd love to take a crack at making something similar.
Rushing over all the lovely fish only stopping at the rare ones!!! I dream to go in and buy me some speckled platties. Don't know what's up with these but they've almost dissapeared from stores in Asia where i live, they're just not breeding them anymore. I guess these come from Florida maybe? Don't understand why they've completely vanished from Singapore Hong Kong places like that. Very nice shop.
what i want to know is...how does a fish know what it looks like and then hang out with fish it looks like.. at 7:57 are those flat worms on the glass?
I love Tetras and watching this video makes me hate that I live so far away from this shop. Absolutely stunning Tetras. I've never heard of some of them that they have but I want them so bad. I've breed my Diamond and X-ray Tetras but only got 5 Diamonds and 1 x-ray to hatching stage n they are doing fantastic. Thanks for sharing this video/shop with us man. 🙋🏼♂️ from Florida.
"It just kinda kept growing from there" YEahhh it does that I'm on the same page regarding outdoor aquascaping. I think there's a heap of potential there. I know making ponds and putting fish in them is taken seriously and many cultures have rich histories around this, bit I suppose what I envision is a little more like aquaria. How can we encapsulate little riparian environments as beautiful displays, perhaps even on a balcony? What do we need to do to ensure the water stays clear, the animals are healthy, plants are thriving, etc. in a way that the average person can get involved and enjoy it? I think it could, in some ways, be as gratifying as the aquarium hobby. In many climates your species selection would be pretty slim, but that's fine. It's not just about the display of animals but of plants and the terrestrial aspects of the pond as well.
Dang that’s cool your only a few hours away from my place haha dope I’m Canada B.C. So rad you travel around for your hobby/career rad dude keep it up!
Now THOSE are Fish Tanks! The warped plastic reality painted rock tanks are awful. But the worst ones are The Empty Hellscape. Just an empty box of water with fish in it.
They look fine to me. Dividers are good if they are in tiny boxes next to each other and constantly confronted with each other. These have enough space and are not constantly in each others vision so they don't get stressed.
bro how does he take care of these tanks? he has extra staff? I frying my ass here keeping a shop and all the water changes.. fish dying.. and dealing with paludarium builds my terrarium and exotic guppies giving up on me..
OMG this is my local store!!! never thought I would see it on one of my favorite fish tube channels!
Me too. I got my plants here. Learned a lot about the store from this video.
You are so lucky!!
Sick!
