How to Add a code on the Kwikset 914?
1. Make sure door is open
2. Remove back plate
3. Click Program Button
4. Type in code 4-8 digits
5. Click Lock Sign
6. One beep means you did it right three beeps means you need to do it again
How to delete a code?
1. Make sure door is open
2. Remove back plate
3. Click Program Button
4. Press Lock Sign
5. Type in code you want deleted
6. Click Lock Sign
7. Type code you want deleted

I've installed several of these z-wave kwiksets, had the same issue with the rehanding of the bolt not working tonight.
Turns out, In my over-confidence/laziness, I put the batteries in wrong, i.e. not alternating in series. Derp aferking derp. Rehanded just fine after I undid my f-up.

Does this model sync with the app? If so, do you have a video for it?
It does not, this Lock will require a hub because it is on Z-Wave.

Any videos on the mechanism? Was struggling to open and lock now it won’t do either. Fresh batteries lights up but no movement ☹️😞😭

This will delete all the codes and allow you to create a new one.

If I don’t have the existing code what to do to change it?
I would try resting the lock ruclips.net/video/zWGDCvgQuLI/видео.html first then adding in your code. This way you erase all the old codes and can put new ones in.

Is this model a smart lock / works with smart phones phones
So the 914 will need a hub because it is either Zigbee or Z-wave
I tried this multiple times, then i factory reset it and tried again. Nothing worked. Are there any ither suggestions before i return this lock and switch to a different one?

Yes, I think it is 4-8 digits
How can I remove the cover please advise tks
So with the 914 I believe you have to squeeze the cover plate to remove. It can be a little difficult so I typically will just take off the backplate completely with the two screws on the side.

I put new batteries in my lock n you can unlock from outside with key pad but can't lock it by keypad
Try unlocking with the door open. If works then there might be something jamming it to close. If that does not work I might try resetting the lock then trying the lock button.
How does one delete ALL codes while not remembering what those codes are?

Factory reseting is always an option if that what you are referring too
I tried re-key and then reset code and it only flashes red! What do I do:/

How to change master code?
So I don't believe the Kwikset has a master code like the Yale lock does.

Do you have a smart hub? The 914 is Z-wave so you'll need a smart hub and should be able to do it on there. If not, this is the way you'll have to do it.
