part 1 had a 10/10 score in my list of thrillers that I usually write down in my notes. Hands down one of the most incredible movies that I have seen. The movie had so many messages and good ones. I loved the concept and the thought that was put into the story. It was not only about food and hunger. It was so much deeper than that. Platform 1 is my top favorite movie !!!
I'm with you on that - the platform was my first movie like this, I rewatched it several times to see if I could spot any hidden messages

Why’s everybody hating on the sequel? The first one was better than decent. It showcased just how truly *selfish* & *_gluttonous_* the human race is. It’s disgusting but unfortunately it’s a very honest representation of the world we live in. I’m very much looking forward to seeing this one.
Based on there being pretty much no demand or need for a sequel, I'm assuming they actually have something new to say and that this isn't just a cash crab. Will definitely be going in with keen interest.

contrary to everyone else in the comments I’m excited for this and think there’s a lot of room to expand on the first movie, both in the story and the message! It could be a flop but approaching it with cynicism won’t allow for an honest viewing experience
I loved the first one but the majority consensus is that the movie was "in your face", "economic system propaganda", or just a mid movie that was ruined by the ending.
This looks like a sequel for those who widely held such opinions, want some action and an explanation of the entire of the system.
Same for approaching it with optimism or excitement. The only honest viewing experience is having zero expectations which is nearly impossible when it comes to sequels.

It showed how morally bankrupt people at the top will always take more than their fair share and ruin things for those beneath them.
How the distribution model failed to account for the needs of the people. Even when people took it upon themselves to act as a regulating body.
How the elites at the top were more wholly unaware and detached from the truly reality of the situation.
Thinking that the Panna cotta wasn't eaten because it had a hair on it.

this is stupid, in the first one the lady who admits the main character states that you can't bring cigarettes in and yet we see cigarettes in this. lol poor writing incoming. I bet this will be a 4/10 movie. I will say, i will be looking forward to this regardless.

Ive been asking for a movie like the first The Platform but i never expected the answer to be in The Platform 2. Not the trailer i would use. People loved the first one so no need to up the ante. Just show what we want and people will flock to it then get surprised with the rest. I'm in no hurry to see this now.

A lot of people are saying this didn't need a sequel, but i disagree. I'm not saying it NEEDED a sequel, but there's a lot a sequel could do. I wanna learn more about the facility, the world outside it, etc. Also from the trailer, it seems almost like they're gonna full on rebel against the system which, yes, is an opt-in thing but I'd be curious to see how it goes. I'll chalk this up alonsgside "They Follow" in sequels we didn't need but I'm curious what they'll so with it.

I really want to see more of the administration. What is beyond level 0 apart from the kitchen? Is it an entire facility? What is the administration exactly?

Another funny thing is with the official poster, on the top you can see Trimagasi (the fat old guy with his knife) who is also dead. I personally think this is an homage but who knows.

@Bread-nx9fo If it's only good and not great, people will crap on it. That being said, it was an interesting universe. There's always a couple of different stories to tell in a universe. Different perspective of the same situation. I might think of it as a TV show or a film serial. The wire is a good example. Different seasons different perspectives.

The first one was more of a metaphorical message than anything believable that would happen. The world building just didn't make logical sense.
