This was a very dope interview. I work in HR for a tech company in Boca Raton. She’s legit on tech sales. They make bank on those commissions and black folk make up a very small percentage in the field. I’m looking to transition to the tech side within this year. Oh, yes! Kayla is my Caribbean spirit sister! We KNOW how to grind. West Indian women will work 10 jobs with 3 kids in 1 hand, a soup pot in the other, 5 suitcases on their back, and an overflowing cart of groceries on their head. My mother came to Jersey from Trinidad with 4 kids in the 70s and took housekeeping jobs to make ends meet. She met my dad, became a CNA, and had 2 more. By this time, my aunt and some other relatives came over and my mom bought a house. Everybody lived under one roof until each head of household saved enough money to move his family into their own house. It was crazy and chaotic. BUT hard work was the example I always saw. So I don’t understand black men who Refuse to work and insist on staying home playing video games all day. I NEVER saw that growing up. All of the adults in our house worked multiple jobs and a few side hustles. They weren’t the best at managing money and I picked up that bad habit too, unfortunately. You don’t know what you don’t know. Still, laziness was never my issue. In fact, I was working 3 jobs right before my first seizure. I couldn’t help it. Working like a madwoman was all I knew. Work yourself into a hole as long as you can sit up and breathe. That’s basically what I was taught. I wish I knew then what I knew now. ICS is helping me go about things more strategically and smarter than I ever have. No BMW stories for me. And I suck at tech! Things are picking up in other areas, though. I’m incessantly working the many creative gifts God has given me. Now I just need ongoing mentoring and coaching on how to scale. Thanks, Anthony!

When they started talking about Limewire, the BlackBerry Curve and the Motorola Razr…..I worked at Verizon Wireless at the time and I had both of those phones when they came out. You don't have to go back to school, some employers will pay tuition costs even if your job is not tech related eg working in Amazon warehouse thru have program called Career Choice. Explore there are probably others with similar programs. Also don't forget if you have the time, talent and discipline there's a lot of resources to teach yourself including YT

Hey, I love your show and I’m at almost 3/4 of the video and I’m wondering why you didn’t ask her ‘HOW’ she got into tech. Like did she go to college or a boot camp to get in and what led her to choose tech sales? Who did she see or speak with that encouraged her to got to tech in lieu of med school? I really wanted to know this for myself. Mo

You need to ask Bethel School of Technology. You have been hearing allot about this on the NEWS. This is such a game changer they (U. S. Academic Intuition) are want to shut it down for few months to study the impact. This Prompt Engineering requires technology and social skill on humanities side of things (Soft and Hard Skills).

Really love the story of the young lady..However, black folks indgenious to our land, have worked just as hard as folks who have immigrated here to have a better life. In America nothing is free, you have to pay to play. My wife is Guyanese and I am indgenious from here. All of our families have had to get that work in to be successful.
