Victorian Railways started their "dieselisation" programme with EMD and ended with EMD main line loco's and was the best thing they ever done, easy to service and stock parts of just one brand. Unlike NSW which had a large ALCO fleet as well as EMD and then dabbled in Caterpillar (47 & 73 class) so you had three brands to looks after at a major depot. Great collection Jacob, well done.
Clyde Engineering has had long ties with EMD. They literally built these great EMD locomotives for Australian standards. EMD still has Australian connection through Downer Rail but Clyde Engineering was better. That's a ton of Australian Clyde Engineering EMDs preserved or in service. Wow
