Cruising to Portland UK? Which two tour excursions are best, Stonehenge or Athelhampton?

    I only have time for one excursion so I think I’ll switch to the castle. I love English gardens! I’ll be there soon!

    With due respect, Troy, both of those sound like tourist traps, especially Stonehenge. Stonehenge requires that you stay behind a roped off area is overcrowded and overpriced. For that part, I plan on staying in town along with Fallmouth.

      I hear you about these sites being expensive. These sites are basic attractions that are of interest to most first timers, which is why we did a video. That said, we never felt pressured to spend more than our admission price and they hold historical or cultural interest. When we go on repeat visits, we try to go beyond the typical. But for the first outing, we visit the basics.
