Finnish magazine Mikrobitti published a fan made map and all us kids xeroxed it at the local library. An essential part of the game and fun times being ten years old in the eighties.
Geez that would've saved me so much grief! I actually did manage to finish this game as a kid on my C64 by drawing my own map, took weeks to do but boy, did I feel proud afterwards 😅👍
Man, the soundtrack.
Jonathan Dunn had a knack for cranking out impressive and catchy tunes for Ocean games. His work in Untouchables and Platoon is particularly awesome 🎶 👍
the sounds of my youth!
Yes!!
"a MEGA HERO"
The guards in this game have absolutely zero peripheral vision! 😂
Damn that enemy AI...it's virtually non existing. But great memories anyway..
"Has there been any workplace related accidents? Your men seem to be squeezing out bullets all willy-nilly even when there's no enemy present. And there's a lot of guys crowding around tight spaces."
- Nah man, our own bullets just go through our own men and come out the other side without doing damage
"Wut?!"
nice playing. wasn't aware there's a 1st person chopper stage.
A tank scene, actually, according to the game's variation of the movie plot. If it was a chopper, the land mines that explode when you reach them wouldn't make much sense.
Gotta love the recycled sound effects from C64's Operation Wolf. Not ironically, by the way, I actually mean it, as I love that version of the game to death.
Seee, vabbeh con la UHU!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I played that game so much, but never actually got to rescue Trautman. Watching this now, man how easy it actually could have been.
Like any game, it's only easy when you know what to do!

The last part is a mini Operation Wolf!
And it definitely sounds like it too =)
@@Myrryspeikko Agree!
These must be the worst guards ever.
Why Rambo needs a key for opening doors?
You're right - he should just be smashing them open with his bare hands! He's Rambo for God's sake... LOL!
This was great engine to build proper Metal Gear kind of game. Pity Ocean decided to make just an usual movie-tie in, with very mundane gameplay (and dumb AI, without stealth tactics involved for the player).
Shame it wasn't a bit more varied, could have done a lot more with it really. Only looking now at it as I've just got a copy off ebay with a few other games.
Cool game, but you need to know what you're doing. I played this most of the time with a trainer and after "gauntlet" view and stepping on a mine the game crashed all the time!
