When you have a baby, the baby get a wristband around their ankle and the parents get a matching wristband. If someone tries to leave without the matching wristband, an alarm will sound. They don’t let you walk out the door without checking everyone’s wristband information to make sure you have the right baby. So this would never happen nowadays.

I waited an waited an I remember the nurse saying I'll be right back just going to see how her vitals are doing, so she brought her back as requested an I told my mom let me hold her an I put all types of pillows an blankets around me an held her close an I could hardly keep my eyes open at this point but then a lady came in an I woke up an she said your not aloud to be asleep while holding the baby. I was furious because she made me put her back in her bed but then this was a new lady an I yelled for my mom an she woke up. The nurse said I'll be back imma take her to the nursery an I'm like wtf she just went. I am now in a panic but my mother insisted I get some rest an that she will be ok. The meds they put in my vanes made me pass out. I woke up like 4 hours later, this is like 9 hours later from having my daughter. I woke up an I seen my daughter was gone. I freaked out an try an wake my mom an she woke up saying what's wrong? I said where is my child an she said she is fine they will bring her back an I'm like know I'm not waiting an I buzzed them an nobody answered which was odd, so now going on 10 hours. I pulled myself up an I'm in excruciating pain. Every inch I moved felt I was being ripped apart an I just cried. I finally stood up an I slowly walked to the opening of my door. My mother saying you shouldn't be moving so much u need your rest. I said no I'm going to go find my daughter an she said if you insist. I walked out my room with the thing that they had attached to my veins. I nearly dropped trying to walk to the nursery. I finally made it an peeped inside. The lady was setting there with another child. I knocked on the window an she looked over an pointed a finger , basically telling me to hold on a sec an she went out the baby down. I watch her walk to the door an come out an she said to me are you ok an I said yes. I want my daughter where is she, she said " she is sleeping right there". I look an I said please bring her to my room. I was already having signs of postpartum an the nurse was really worried an called my OB. I had separation issues an anxiety. I was so scared someone was going to take my daughter. I panicked every time they took her out the room , if you know how much it takes to stand up an walk after a C-section then you know the pain I put myself in to know my daughter was safe. I can't imagine going through losing my child as someone in the hospital stole her from me. I was blessed it didn't happen to me but the feeling of it being a possibility is terrifying
