Its much much smoother for belaying. A guide in the alps showed it to me this summer he tested a prototype, its so smooth to give rope its actually a bit scary. Feels like it wont work but it does lol
@@IAMDIMITRI You could also consider the Edelrid Pinch. Released just yet, for 30€ less than the Neox. Its feeds smoother than the normal Grigri and offers nice handling with their connection system. Also has anti panic function.

You should not have a loop between the hand and the grigri when giving out slack.
That can end badly.
