Before I purchased my first Leica film rangefinder, I purchased a Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 lens because I knew that was what I wanted. My focal length decision was based on my experience with 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55mm lenses I had used on other 35mm film cameras. My Zeiss decision was based on my experience with six Zeiss lenses I had used on other 35mm film cameras. After I purchased the 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss with Leica M-mount, I shopped for the first M2, M6, or MP body I could find in good condition and for a fair price. I found an M6. I now shoot my M6 with 21/35/90mm lenses.
That is a killer setup, and I've seen the Zeiss is one of the sharpest 35's out there. Easily adaptable to digital if you ever go that route too. You on IG?
Used a TTArtisan with my Leica M240, but that was a big heavy lens. Moved to a Zeiss 50/2 Planar that I used on the M240 and M10 and recently sold it and now wanting to give the LLL 50 Elcan a go.
Loving mine! Although Thypoch is about to launch their Eureka 50mm f2 soon, and at least for lens specs, it likely outperforms the Elcan. Could be very compelling. But, look > specs for lenses so it’ll likely come down to taste.
Little side note: Ricoh GRIIIX is still a perfect autofocus snapshooter to complement this whole full frame setup

Thinking of picking up this lens to shoot at weddings as my 50mm option!

@@LIGHTHUNTER.D Not a fan of collapsible lenses, but would like to see some reviews on it.
