Congratulations, Lucy!! That's really cool to hear of what you did in your relaxing phase from when you were otherwise working on your PhD thesis & research.
As a science student and books enthusiast, one of my biggest dreams is to publish a science-fiction book related with my field of study. Congratulations Lucy!! The books sounds super interesting, I hope I could get it in the future
That sounds very interesting Lucy! Could you take us behind the scenes to explore the publishing process? I am currently writing a book and wondering whether or not to self-publish.
You have such a wonderful way of expressing yourself in video form, I can only imagine how amazing your book is going to be! I love when science and creativity cross over
Congratulations and how exciting. Making a note in my calendar! I love your comments on ice. I'm a biochemist but I'm intensity fascinated in the molecular activity and interactions of water. And to imagine it as mountains is so fun in my mind. I can't wait!
I'm a bit late to this party, but recently found out Alastair Reynolds was praising this novel and since I'm a big fan of his novels, I thought I'd try "Plutoshine". I'm about a fifth into it atm and I have to say it's been brilliant so far. Made me check your site and see if there were other novels or short stories you've written but unfortunately there aren't... although with a fulltime job as a nuclear scientist I can imagine it doesn't leave much time left for projects like this one. Glad this novel happened anyway!
Hi Lucy. I look forward to reading Plutoshine which I have saved on Amazon. They had been asking $60.00 for it so I have been waiting for it to come down which it has a bit. I also like to write but find fiction difficult especially dialog. Telling a story. however, can be an effective way of influencing people's thinking so perhaps you can be successful. Good luck.
Congratulations! I'm a PhD student in Cognitive Psychology and have always wondered what consciousness and cognition would be like in a planet very different from Earth. Would they be surprisingly similar... or surprisingly different? Either way, I'm excited to be reading your book in March!
Congratulations Dr Lucy! Scientist, scholar and author - what a wonder! Excited to see your progress! 😊
Congratulations Lucy
I don't think I've ever slammed a book shut and cursed at it before. Thankyou :)

Found a copy in my local Waterstones this morning. Seemed rude not to buy it :)
