THANK YOUUUU!!! I’ve been using Planet Dragonod’s tutorial on how to build hogwarts, but I plan on building a little bit of london to make Diagon Alley and platform 9 3/4 so this is an amazing tutorial!
Very well done tutorial Dreyma! Thank you for doing this, I've been thinking about building Hogwarts and Hogsmead Village, now I can include the train as well. Well done on your research and the look of it is fabulous!
Love this. I’m part way in to an SMP and literally just finished a quidditch arena. This will be a perfect addition. I’ve thought of a few ways I can modify it and to not copy exactly but il be sure to give you credit. Thank you and you have a new subscriber
Wow, Thank you Bellagaming! Feel free to copy it exactly if you want to, it's what the tutorial is for. But I would love to know how you modify it too. Don't forget the carriage tutorials - they are linked in the description. There'll be another Harry Potter build out in a few days to a week.
It's absolutely lovely! Love that you referenced the book so often! As it is, I'm almost finished reading the Goblet of Fire .............. again. Gonna have an HP movie marathon over the holidays with the fam too. xD I'm somewhat obsessed, tbh. XD
You and me both Pamster. We just finished watching the HP and FB films again. Always something new to see. The HP films still frustrate me. JKR said some years back she'd like a long running series (possibly animated?) that followed the books properly and she'd live with what happened to the films in the meantime. The books will always be my primary reference.
Books will -always- be better than the movies. Only downside is... if you read the book first, you're gonna be disappointed in the movie! Which is exactly what happened. My HP books look awful because of how many times they've been read. I like the movies though, they're -okay- as long as I try real hard not to compare to the book too much. xD
@@Pamster That is SO true. I love the Mortal Engines books but I can't bring myself to watch the film because the trailer alone was so off. Divergent rapidly became awful as they strayed from the books. At least with HP Rowling retained enough control that it didn't stray too far. But yeah, the best they were was okay. And my copies are a bit ratty too. Nothing wrong with being well read and much loved. My Terry Pratchetts are a bit worn too for the same reason.
I love this! On the subject of trains, here's a bit of useless info for ya. The Flying Scotsman was renovated in the town where I live. It was an absolute pleasure to see it running on the track. Would you consider building it in MC? Great vid as always Dreyma!
Christopher, if you watch to the end I discuss the carriages and link to the full playlist of tutorials for the carriages. They are also all linked in the description above. Have fun! 😀
No. It's just the one layer of trapdoors otherwise it gets in the way of the seats. I wanted a different texture on the underside of the trapdoor but sadly it isn't possible. So the insides are scarlet as well. Oh well.
@@scrambleddebbie8814 you absolutely can. The only thing you might want from my discord is a little texture pack add on that changes acacia trapdoors to solid scarlet. But it isn't needed. In the books it is only the engine that's scarlet, all the carriages are standard. If you follow the links to my carriage tutorials, just make them as I describe in the tutorials and they will be book accurate. Hope that's okay.
Thank you so much Dominique! The red carriages are made exactly the same way as the brown carriages, but I have used acacia trapdoors which have been modified by a resource pack I made. You can get the resource pack from my discord server. The invite link is in the description and then go to "downloady-stuff"
Thanks Barry. Yes, I customised acacia blocks. There is a little resource pack for them on my discord channel. Otherwise you could use vanilla and make them all Pullman carriages. My carriage tutorials show how.
I don't know him at all, but I do know his trains. There are not enough Minecraft train builders on RUclips, so I figure there's room for more. I tend to not look to see if he's done any that are on my list, as I want to come up with my own ideas, but once I've made a train I do pop over to his channel to see if he's done it too and if so how. He and I have different styles and approaches, which I find really interesting.
@@Dreymasmith I know but imagination if you or somebody else makes one you can go around the nether and look at all the cool terrain and have stops that can only be active by a button at the main station that can lead you to a nether fortress, warped forest, crision forest, ect. But you could have a train on top that goes to different portals/stations now that would be cool.
Because that is how corridor carriages were designed amymcphee6000. It think it was to make the compartments as large as possible while still allowing passage through the carriage. If you have a look at the first couple of HP films you'll see how it works. It's quite a good system. See if you have a steam museum near you or a heritage railway - there may still be some corridor carriages around!

Hogwarts Express. The one train I didn't think of. This is a nice engine, Well Done! Oh, nice touch with the villagers approval!
