I have this problem but mine is intermittant. What I have to do when driving is pull over, turn the steering all the way to the left and the headlight sorts itself out for a little while. I will investigate that plug. Awesome video, thank you.

Superb job there Mark, as you know I sorted my park pilot malfunction service required by unplugging some bits and the module and cleaning them with WD 40 electrical contact cleaner always handy to have a can of that in the tool box or shelf Your vlog has no doubt helped others out there who may have or have had the same issue catch up soon take care matey 😃👍
Nice work. Having this problem myself, although wires appear intact, didn't dissemble as far down as you. Will give it a further crack myself, but may pop down to you as you're not too far away at all. Thanks for the upload!
After fixing cables inside the headlamp, if everything is still dead, check fuse F39 (5 amps) under the hood. Got the same problem on my Focus MK3,5. I guess destroyed cables shorted the electric system and the fuse blowed. Bulbs were working but all the functions were lost (autoleveling, high beam, turning the beam left-right). In Forscan, got a few fault codes in HCM (6 codes total, 3 unique codes per "side", basically saying there is no response from autoleveling, adaptative module and light shutter). Changing F39 fuse (5A) fixed everything.
You think £1,200 is bad for a headlight? Good job you didn't need a bulb. Took my 2015 Titanium X in for a headlight randomly working when it was being serviced at Fords. They're recommendation was to replace the bulb (same Xenon bulbs that you have) and for that they were going to charge £410 - that is JUST to replace the bulb. The bulb was £260 and then 1hrs labour at £150 to fit it. The service guy couldn't believe and had to double check himself and came back astounded saying that it was correct! Took it to Halfords and had a new bulb fitted for £54. I went home and looked it up for myself and official Ford parts on ebay (direct from Ford) and sure enough the bulb was being sold for £260!
Hi there watched your video was so helpful thanks. I have had same problem and also stressed of the cost this can be I took my focus 2016 to my local garage and they solderd the wire he explained to me roughly the same problem that you specified in video and the fault has happened again now stressed that may have to buy headlight but in your video you said that you can pickup wiring connectors for unit as my last resort . So my question is what type and were can a source these connectors. Again thanks for video it has took alot of stress off .
Hi can you help please, I have a faulty with my dipped beam keeps bringing up a error code and failed its mot, coikdcthis be the same issue, they have quoted me £2000😢
I have the same error on board. I've noticed that my "eyebrow" leds that are parts of my daylights are both turn on on contact, but when I turn engine on, right one turns off after 5 sec, and sometimes left one also after some time. At evening, everything is fine, both leds turn on s part of night lights (via photo sensor on front glass) Car is Ford focus titanium 2011. Any help? Thanks
Amazing video... great explanation! I've taken the car to a couple of car shops around town but none of them was able to solve it. I guess the connection plugs and wires of my headlight must be broken beyond repare. Anyone who bought new parts (connections, wires, plugs) can help me by sending the link, or part number? It's been really hard to find them in Brazil. Thanks guys
We bought a 65 plate Titanium X recently and it had a headlight levelling issue in the service history, I suspect it was this. I found a replacement flexiwire connector in the boot and wondered what it was, I know now! No idea if it's a spare or the original one that was replaced (or whether that fixed the issue). Incidentally the car in the video doesn't quite have everything on it. There is a heated steering wheel option, a paddle shift steering wheel option and a sunroof option on these Titanium X's. Turns out you can't have the heated wheel and paddles in the same wheel. Shame, I'd like to upgrade ours.
Interesting work good result. Ive got same headlamp malfunction warning on Focus Titanium X (2011) and need the cheaper fix. Can you let me know who your auto electrician that sorted is? Thanks.
