    It was really helpful . I'm Egyptian and knew Ur channel by accident . Actually I'm trying to learn the American accent but I found it's very useful to learn both of UK and American ,and U brings me that so thank you.Ur teaching techniques are fascinating and I'm attracted to Ur lessons.Keep going and never stop. U asked Egyptians to tell their names 😂 mine is Nagwa. I discovered that I'm naturally better in the UK accent than the American one,I think because of our curriculum here in Egypt is Britain, may be,I don't know 😂.

    Bonjour James, quand tu dis que normalement les mots se terminant par -igh sont silencieux, je ne comprends pas. Dans la phrase : I might have caught the night flight though.

    These lessons are very well done, they help a lot to understand English pronunciation better and they are better than any course I have done before. Thank you very much!
    I also really like that you wrote in phonetic transcription, so it is possible to read the difference in detail and hear it at the same time.
    Although I would like to mention some minor thinks if you don’t mind.
    The error devil has crept in a bit. 😈
    On some slides are written other phonetic words than mentioned in the text, so at 17:00 and 39:40 min. Then in slide 47:15, instead of gn, nm is written.
    I know you spent a lot of time on this and this would make the work perfect.
    Great job, well done! 🤓👌👍

  • @billpap5934
    @billpap5934 11 месяцев назад

    Really nice presentation indeed. Regarding the ''gm'' combination, I have noticed that when ''gm'' comes in the middle of many words (I do not know whether this is a general rule), then ''g'' is not silent e.g., phlegmatic, pragmatic, magma, dogma, stigma, pygmy, tagma, enigma, (mostly of Greek origin) hangman, pigment, segment, figment, augment, etc.

    • @lj.3589
      @lj.3589 7 месяцев назад

      Correct. Just be careful about "hangman". The "g" is like in "ing" instead of a hard "g" sound. You might know this already. I just wanted to mention it because it's different from the others you listed.
