Six years ago my grandson was 12 years old. He's now 18 and off to college inis fall. Six years ago I met two young adolescents on RUclips moving up from cart racing to sprint cars. It's been a great ride and thanks for allowing me to ride along. God speed to a wonderful family! ✌✌
You two have a strong future ahead. Having a crewchief that can read the car, has driven and has the sibling connection is unmatched. The future for the two of you is incredibly bright. I can’t wait to follow along.

I love watching you guys race. I find myself getting excited when you are racing. Like I did when I was the crew chief for a father and son team. We raced supermodifieds at San Jose speedway in the 80s. Jay (Jim Perry Jr) built the engines in his machine shop. I built the chassis. Because we built it all ourselves we did spend as much as the other teams. We were one of the top 3 or 4 teams back then. WE spent about 11K and teams like Howard and Bret Kaeding. Your videos remind me of those fun days Thank you.
I think her time helping shark and seeing that program has gave her serious direction and how to handle ur team. I really think she can be a great crew chief and has the ability. people forget she is still young. Yet has racing knowledge better than alot of others.

As a team need to find some speed, probably only comfort for yourself Tanner but we all desire a winning successfully ran team. Would love to contribute but I am old and inexperienced in sprint car set-up. Maybe once I start getting SS, I can volunteer.
With Carly doing everything she does she will definitely be a better driver when she gets behind the wheel. She'll know what she needs and how to adjust to suit her driving style. Glad to hear the great news about Carly's clearance to race again I bet that she has been chomping at the bit to get back behind the wheel. But in the mean time she and you guys were smart to have her help and learn more about everything so that like you said it helps to have that outside point of view of what the car is doing on the track to hopefully make better decisions with you adjustments throughout a night of racing. Personally, I want to see her behind the wheel more than anything else. She's had a pretty difficult learning curve, and her average finishing spot isn't bad for how many starts she's had. She needs 90% more seat time before retiring to the pit box!

When I met Carly in Ohio after a Speedweek race at Waynesfield, you were talking with fans and she was scraping mud off the top wing to stay busy. Very special young woman. As good as the racing was, chatting with Carly with my God-daughter sleeping on my should and her dad, my best friend, with me was the highlight of the night.
Ill tell you what Carly is truly a great sister and teammate...your really lucky to have her Tanner...its really obvious to see your parents raised a great family.
Carly def work very hard. You are lucky to have a great sister to know what to do with the car and get her hands dirty to get the car ready to go each races.
Find a good local race on your travels every couple weeks and put Carly behind the wheel. Maybe she is the best driver in the family. Needs a chance if she wants it.
The time you and Carly spent with Shark Racin' was time well spent. Tanner got laps at tracks he'd never seen before and more laps against some of the best drivers out there. All a huge plus for a driver. Carly's time spent with Shark may have been even more important in that she got to experience the ins and outs of a full time Outlaw team from maintenance to set-ups to overall knowledge of how a professional team works. Ya can't buy that type of knowledge and experience.
