When you said if you wanna skip over the chatty parts I was like why would I wanna do that? I love that you felt comfortable to share where you are. It felt like I was listening to a friend so thank you for that ❤️
girl I resonate so much with feeling indecisive because of being afraid of failure and letting the perfectionism & overthinking overwhelm me :') hearing you chat about it was just a reminder for me to slow down and let go, so thank you for that!! also just wanna say that you inspire me & I know you'll be doing amazing things no matter what path you choose going forward 🥹💛
it's so easy to get lost in one's thoughts and not realize the current perspective but I think you've set a great example by being comfortable and honest. I watch your videos everytime I feel down and its really refreshing to see someone so unique and talented
Loving your chatty parts! Enjoy this time of exploration Marsela, somehow everything tends to work out in the end even though it feels so uncertain. Always enjoying your creative videos 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your struggles with being scared of failure, perfectionism, and constantly overthinking and the pessimism! I relate a lot to what you shared and am glad to not be alone in that feeling as a woman in tech!! I can't wait to see where your journey takes you!! (P.S. your chats are my favorite parts of your video!!!)
I can totally relate to the perfectionist mindset and overthinking everything! I really love the podcast the Perfectionism Project for working through that mindset. I've been listening to it for a couple of years now and it's helped so much!
Hey Marsela, I love your content and I watch you since you had few subs! so I am one of the oldest in your channel, just wanted to tell you to take it easy on yourself, being productive during the day is important because it gives such a great feeling of accomplishment, I've learned from you nice tips for self-organizing, take breaks as much as you need and if you are willing to do one or three things a day among a list of 5 things, be happy and proud of yourself because that is called " progress". You are doing well, change is a big part of success and you were willing to make a change and change not only jobs but also appartements, I think you are in the right direction. Keep having strong faith in your abilities and you will achieve them! Mark my words for it
I got pottery supplies during lockdown and then never found the time to do anything with them because I was still working and studying full time... just more stressed because lockdown lol But I'll take this as my sign to to grab that and disconnect from everything with a new hobby. It is great that you are getting yourself out of the apartment and doing things that engage your mind and body. I'm navigating a funk myself these days and staying at home and only focusing on what is stressing you out is a big part of what fuels it, so you are doing great at taking the focus away from that. I can very much relate to the youtube side of your funk too. I have so many unfinished videos that are still missing A-roll or editing, but I keep talking myself out of finishing them because of my perfectionism and that analysis paralysis. May we find our way back to our funk-less selves soon 🤗💕
couldn't recommend pottery or any sort of out-in-the-world-no-screens hobby enough! It's been such a big help in reminding me to stay focused on the now! & Funks can be so all-consuming, and confusing to navigate! Here's to more non-funk days ahead!! 🤍☺️
I know where you’re coming from. As someone who strives for perfection and fears failure, it took a year of therapy to learn how to trust myself and my decisions. I wish you the best of luck with your startup! Can’t wait to see the empire that you’re going to build 😊
hi marsela! have you ever considered filming a video about the journey of looking and applying for a swe job? i would love to see your opinions, experience and tips since i’ll be graduating soon from college and that would be sooo thankful and interesting to watch!! (i'm studying computer science btw, so in a few years i'll be in that situation lol)
how exciting!! I have a few old videos taking about my tips for interviews! And one talking about how I became a software engineer!! I am not recruiting right now, taking some time to work on a startup idea I have! But if I do recruit in the future, you best believe I'd vlog it! hehe
@@marselaaa will definitely be checking those out lol. Wow that’s amazing working on your own startup! Wish you the best of luck!! And if you end up recruiting and vlogging, i’ll be more than ready to watch it!
I currently live in Tampa! Thankfully nothing crazy happened over in my neighborhood (downtown) other than bayshore blvds water getting sucked out. I think if you have a business idea you should just go for it!! failure is part of the process and how you learn to succeed.
Hi! What if you start to build the start of your startup, what's needed? The first step is always the most difficult one! If you don't feel confident enough, or when it starts to take a long time, you can maybe get back to a swe job and do your project still, but more as a side hustle. When you feel ready to publish the alpha-version of your product you can maybe not work fulltime anymore, so there's more time to spend on your startup? That's atleast how my economic teachers told how we should do it if we would start a startup. Goodluck Marsela!
first step is always difficult! I definitely agree with your economics teacher! But having a full time job + doing youtube doesn't leave a lot of time to also build a startup on the side. So that's why I'm taking the plunge and going all in! I can always fall back to getting a swe job if it doesn't work out 🤞
don't feel too hard.. on yourself.. Marsela, it's a process.. life is a process, you will get thru it.. you just need focus on what makes you happy, and keep looking for financial opportunities as they come to support your side projects.. don't need worry Marsela.. just give yourself a hug.. take a deep breath.. and say to yourself "I got this" and "everything is alright in my world" all the best... Marsela☺
If you're serious about playing tennis, I would recommend taking a couple lessons so you at least build some good basic habits (you can even take group lessons with your bf) Love your vids as always, just keep staying true to yourself!
on that unemployed budget for now :') but lessons would be amazing! Right now, we're just having fun with it but I know it can be hard later on if you get into bad habits with your swings so 😅
@@marselaaa oh right lol, either way it's cool to take on a new fun hobby and get some exercise at the same time, you can always get lessons later in life if you want!

aww thank you! I appreciate you watching 🤍
Once I saw the glass of wine on the beach, and then the food, yoo that's a vibe! I gotta try that
wine + sunset >>> (but be careful, technically illegal to drink on the beach.. everyone still does it, just.. ya know 😅)
I actually feel you when you said when you identify with something, you’re scared of failing in that path.. 🥺

Where do you safely park your bike at the pottery studio?
my studio has a bike rack inside!
When do you start your new job?
I'm not looking for a job at the moment, I started working on my own startup! A video about that next week!
