Very nice, the Railroad is a VERY difficult faction to make work. It would have been better if the Railroad was composed entirely of escaped gen 3 synths fighting back against the Institute
That would have made a lot more sense actually. A lot easier to find a band of synths wanting to fight their masters than a couple of random people just wanting to help synths because they feel so strongly about it. Reminds me of Detroit Become Human
@@AdamMarashio when I pick up my gaming PC I'll be working on a mod that simply adds a synth component to the personale of the Railroad, alter some minor lines int the games story and BAM, instantly better faction.
@@AdamMarashio neither have I, I'll actually be using FO4 edit to make the change for the inventory, but as for the dialogue that may take more work to learn the kit
Think that ignores how much of the Railroad's members were people wronged by the Institute, who killed their kin or destroyed their home. Like the Synths, they're people kept down by an exploitative group that doesn't see their humanity. Your character was dealt a similar hand, down in Vault 111. You lose all of that relatability if you make it made up entirely of Synths, while just further incentivizing some players to not consider them. Of course a Synth would value another Synth; of course they'd want them free - they're just "confused."
I always pick my Mercer Safehouse at the Croup Manor settlement. Cause to me, it's perfect. It's abandoned. Followers comment on how creepy the place is, so no one would want to be anywhere near it. And the Basement can provide the area to hide the Synth's at while the rest of the Settlement above goes about their Day. So, the no Random Mercer Safehouse is a given for me.
@@AdamMarashio unfortunately for me, I have to download a Mod after I complete the main Questline. Cause for whatever reason, there's a Bug that doesn't allow me to finish the final mission.
Great suggestions and ideas here! :3 I always felt Railroad needed much more depth. I'd personally love it, if the Railroad could mix the aesthetic and theme of emancipation, leveraging the look and feel of John Brown's deeds, but fusing that with some kind of gameplay elements that could be inspired by the French resistance or British SAS of WW2 in terms of mission ideas, ranging from super-sneaky stealth missions to daring raids that require planning and preparation. Railroad just felt like it lacked in complexity. I think more could've been done. And as you pointed out, they do feel like you have to carry the entire organization on your own lol
Always love to see other folks try and help out the RR get the love they need. I'm currently working on gathering a number of mods I have perms for, to create my own overhaul of the RR. Some new characters and tech to integrate into the faction, along with some connections to their DC wasteland allies. It's a big to do, but even if Fallout 4 isn't being played right now. I still want the RR to have a proper feel to them.
One of the most annoying things is having to kill the railroad if you side woth the institute or, conversely, having to destroy the institute if you want to be in the railroad. Ideologically, I agree with the railroad about the personhood of Synths, but I also think the institute is the future of humanity and the best chance at rebuilding civilization. The railroad are good people, and killing them is the one thing I regret in my playthrough.
Subversion is definitely the best mod for the Railroad and Institute story. Also Tales of the Commonwealth by KrisTakahashi is also perfect as well. In that mod you’ll get a cool companion called R4-04 who is great Railroad companion with a interesting backstory that has references to the previous Fallout titles. I’m also hoping for a tacticool overhaul for the Railroad at some point in time. While I did see some on the Nexus, most of them felt too “militarish” and it didn’t quite fit the underground resistance aestheic for me. I saw some Halo Warfighters / PMC Railroad replacers which were cool but a little too overkill for my taste. However on various discord servers, I saw a Railroad armor overhaul that turns them into resistance soldiers from the Metro franchise which definitely fits them well and even an Escape From Tarkov style outfit mod.
I tried downloading a few dozen railroad mods that overhauls heavys giving power armor and hq overhauls I wish that the tail road was given a sneak overhaul using chinese stealth armor focusing on silencers and the like perhaps including a quest where upu infiltrate a milltary bunker with stealth assultrons
RR definitely had the weakest faction. Where you do all the work. Like the minute men. But without the satisfying faction change. Atleast the BoS give you air support. *verti-bird randomly approches, drops off 2 knights. Then crashes* xD
I'm having a problem with railroad redone. Whenever the mod is active there are duplicates of everything from desks to beds. Has anyone found a work around?
I absolutely love the concept of showing overhauls, it’s genuinely awesome, idk if you’re into new Vegas or anything but if you are, would be sick to see that too
I bought new Vegas and 3 on the ps3 a few years ago for real cheap. Played a little past the intro on both and then dropped it. A lot of it was the controls and the age, but I really want to play the story. If I buy it on PC it would probably be way more playable
please do this for the minutemen and the brotherhood, this video is just perfect. great job man!

@AugmentalGameplay That’s awesome. Wish I understood the creation kit, but I haven’t taken any time to learn it

That’s also a great idea. Spectacle island is far away, but it’s also very open and easy to spot. Only chose it because of the settlement blueprint

That would’ve been so cool. There seems to be a lot of “what ifs” with this game
Looking forward to a minutemen or BOS overhaul soon!

Beautiful work dude. Please do brotherhood complete overhaul.
Shame the Kite’s handmaiden outfit mod was deleted
I don't think it was I just downloaded it a few days ago
How about the Minutemen????
