Years late, but this is SO GOOD!! I wish there was a recording of Encore’s production, even if it’s only the songs. The Balladeer and Booth’s interaction at the start is hilarious and I would love to see more.

"In a bar?" Good grief... Look up Marat-Sade and the Don Juan in Hell act from Man & Superman.

I love this musical, but sadly Sondheim choose the myth of Lee Oswald, not the facts, so it fits in with the plot of the group of crazy people. He was never convicted of murdering JFK.

Technically yes. Originally he was arrested for shooting Officer J.D. Tippit in broad daylight. However, when investigating JFK's assassination they found out Lee Harvey Oswald was in the Texas School Depository at the time of the assassination and was even spotted by a coworker to have gone to the top floor with a long object wrapped in a cloth. The rifle found in the Texas School Depository was also Lee Harvey Oswald's personal rifle. Not to mention, Oswald served as a marksman in the U.S. Marines. There is a ton more circumstantial evidence but that pushes towards conspiracy. All of this was more than enough to deduct that he in fact killed Kennedy; however, before he could be formally charged with both Tippit's and Kennedy's murder he was fatally shot by Jack Ruby.
