At Roskilde Festival in 2009, Lil Wayne cancelled his performance, and they needed to find a replacement. They got Gogol Bordello to fill in. That was one my overall best music expiriences, and one of the best thing that has ever happened, in the history of live music.
The energy here just screams out loud, "We're alive, we're alive, we're alive!" It's the most life-infused, primal-screamed, punk-rockingest music I've heard in decades. AMAZING!!!! Peace, people!

It was a weird realization. They have so much energy that you can feel surging through the crowd, one collective swarming mass sharing each others' sweat.
Saw them live this may. I had no idea what I was getting myself into (my best friends made me go). It was a FANTASTIC show! They are incredible live and that same energy was felt in the crowd the entire night. All the good vibes. Cheers!

Ten years later and I'm still coming back to this performance. If you ever get a chance to see them live DO IT. If you think they had intense energy here you haven't seen anything. You won't be disappointed.

They completely overshadowed the Primus set that followed. And by the way, I've seen Claypool/Primus live a grand total of 9 times and have been a fan for years. Until that concert I had never even heard of Gogol Bordello. I left that show completely in love with Gogol, and very tired of Primus.
Everytime I see these guys, they get better and better! I was in the front group of people at the APW. The energy in that pit was unlike anything Ive ever experienced with any other band. No meatheads throwing random punches or douchebag metalheads stepping all over people. Just fun loving people dancing and celebrating as a mass. These guys are what Ive been looking for in music for over 13 years. FUCKING LOVE IT!!!

I saw Gogol Bordello live on their Super Taranta tour in Columbus, Ohio. They were in one of the smallest most intimate venues in the city, and it was unlike any show I've seen before or since. Their passion and energy was contagious, and 90% of their performance is lost in translation to a digital format. Not to mention their hour-and-a-half encore with world-premiere songs. The whole music hall was singing. Don't pass judgment on Gogol till you've seen them live.

Another one of my favorite bands, They Might Be Giants, really got their launchpad on Letterman. I miss him so much.

Yes their live show was easily one of the most enjoyable I've ever been to. They really get the crowd going and never let the energy stop.
