I absolutely lost my mind after this play and this win. Even though we didn’t win the title the run we had beating Miami with the last second shot then beating Indiana wow it was a fun ride
This why these guys back in the day had my respect. He really should have sat out a yr or so nd did some minutes management but they weren't built like that then. Hurt or not they were out on that floor risking their careers to win this is why they get paid the big bucks.. these players nowadays play wen they want.
LJ completely reinventing himself with a perimeter game at his age is one of the most unselfish things I've ever seen in American sports. He wasn't co-captain for nothing.
Man, those Paces were knocking on the door for over a decade. They just couldn’t get it done. LJ and Sprewell played out of their minds during that run. They would have unseated the ‘95 Rockets as the lowest seed to win it all. I saw this squad play the Lakers back in ‘96. Shaq was injured. They beat the Lakers in OT. Best game I ever saw. Not one of the all time best teams but definitely one of the coolest and scrappiest.
That phantom call on Larry’s 3 was to make up for game 2 when they called a bogus foul on the knicks with seconds left in game ..and they were winning ..
He was never a fan of LJ or the Knicks in particular. Even LJ's first year on the knicks, there was a televised game against the heat and Bill would criticize the knicks plays, and keep ranting on how much better Anthony Mason was vs. Johnson. So biased.
"phantom call" - sure, say it wasn't a hard foul, etc., but my man *left his feet* at the slight pump fake, and when LJ was making a move, that slight contact from the defender coming back to the ground is enough to be a hindrance to the offensive player...not all refs would call that, but when you leave your feet, a call like that can happen...
@mig50cc well if you know that he's not my son then you also know that as muslim we actually follow Jesus more then Christians, actually we pray the same way Jesus prayed and to the same lord to the father not to Jesus Jesus never said worship him he said he can do nothing with out the father so me and my son Larry Johnson is doing good with in following Jesus and his actual message and praying just like Jesus to the same one Jesus prayed to so iam pretty sure you didn't know that and Jesus is not God's son you should be focused on that information becouse lj not my son so as Jesus is not God son ,so please go actually study your religion, to get the correct understanding,.....(( fun snapple cap fact ,Jesus did not speak English, so the original gospel that's not changed is in the language Jesus spoke he wasn't white with blue eyes ,he was from the middle east, and last but not least he didn't worship or pray to him self he prayed to the one ,the one who chose him to be in marrie's woumb, thats whom Jesus worshipped the same lord as Muslims, so go study a bit more lil budy,to know the truth ,you've been lied to , may thy lord guide you to whats correct ameen
pls tell me who would u all say was best between the 93 hornets and the 97 and 98 knicks i'll say the 99 and 00 knicks didn't face legends like west bird johnson jordan jabbar robertson chamberlain and russell
Mark Jackson could shoot boss......just didn't look to all that much......and Reggie Miller was covered good AF......Knicks knew who had killed them in the past in the clutch.....
Larry Johnson may not have been the player he was in Charlotte but this 4-point play cemented his legacy as a Knick.
Unforgettable
it's nice 2 meet u + pls read my comment
The knicks were too deep, they barely used him which caused his numbers to decline

One of the best Knicks teams ever. No superstars. Just great team work
I absolutely lost my mind after this play and this win. Even though we didn’t win the title the run we had beating Miami with the last second shot then beating Indiana wow it was a fun ride
That '99 team was my favorite knicks team ever
I liked 00-01 more.
LJ was the fuckin man, I’ll say it again if he never injured his back he woulda been a hall of famer
Still is a HOF , especially since they let bums like tmac and Tim Hardaway and G hill in the HOF
Facts

I remember watching this live
Amazing moment in nba history

they made it the next year
Lmao Bill Walton was the biggest Knick hater back in the day.
RIP Bill Walton.
LJ was such a great Knick for the short time he was here, also was one of Van Gundys favorite players to coach, was just a leader.
That phantom call on Larry’s 3 was to make up for game 2 when they called a bogus foul on the knicks with seconds left in game ..and they were winning ..
Lj needs to be in the HOF
LJ toughness. That last shot by pace was close 😮
RIP Bill Walton.
Walton always hated when LJ did the "Big L." It always kinda bothered me why he hated it lol.
He was never a fan of LJ or the Knicks in particular. Even LJ's first year on the knicks, there was a televised game against the heat and Bill would criticize the knicks plays, and keep ranting on how much better Anthony Mason was vs. Johnson. So biased.

His faceup jumpers remind me of Karl Malone
His build too
I had double digits on varsity and Jv multiple times

Foul or no foul, that was a really hard shot to make.
Lol he didn’t touch him.
If there was a foul it was clearly before the shot
@@thedangerwich5476 LOL actually, he did.
That is a call that would have been reversed with today’s instant replay
I see three accounts of Antonio Davis that have watched this.
Billy Walton was the most biased analyst at that time. Blessings
Reggie was very dirty and crafty. He totally threw his knee into LJ. Absolutely a foul. And ball don't lie. LJ drained the free throw.
No supplements.. all muscle
LJ was clutch !
الله اكبر big heart
Лэрри был очень крутой чувак
It was over Walton.
Masha'Allah!!! I had no idea Larry Johnson is a Muslim! Al Hamdulillah may Allah keep Larry holding strong on the Deen of Islam.
For sports and athletics
Who else hates hearing Bill Walton call a game?
Hicieron historia esta temporada los nicks de nueva york
I mean guys......jess kersey himself said he "blew that call"....c'mon
Hold up hold up see I didn't even know my son l.j. was Muslim, no social media days ,but Al hamdulillahi may Allahu give em tawfiq WA furqan ameen
I'm sure he's not your son. And both he and you need to trust Christ as your savior.

Coaching.. high performance training

Bill Walton is pure comedy 😂
I couldn't stand him as a commentator. He was annoying and always found a way to say something stupid and NOT use his vast basketball IQ.
terrible play at the end by mark jackson. Jalen Rose was wide open
Anybody here from Basketball and other things?
Bill Walton, not only the most overrated player in NBA history, but also a pure jealous hater...
Why is Mark Jackson the worst shooting PG ever with Rondo taking the final shot..Miller time anyone?
MJ shot over 40 % from 3 three different seasons.
Mark Jackson could shoot boss......just didn't look to all that much......and Reggie Miller was covered good AF......Knicks knew who had killed them in the past in the clutch.....
Dang Grandmama be saying Allah got me all holy
