this is more of a camera software battle than a sensor battle, because mostly the software affects greatly on how the photo is processed. I can't really compare 2 brands and say that the differences are from the sensor.

It's same here, i have p30 and i love it, just problem of battery draining especially with emui 12. So, for me i think that Honor 70 is a big upgrade, same 3x zoom, better main camera, best wide camera. Let's upgrade brother 😁

I replaced my realme 8 pro with honor 70 and i have to say its really magic with the magic ui 6,my realme phone had 20x zoom with a 108mp main camera that could get amazing photos and really good portrate,macro wasnt that good but not bad either whit a snap 720g,but in this phone i got snap 778+ that is amazing,in heavy games like pubg it heating up but it doesnt make any noise or differences in performances and it will go really nice like a botter on a glass ,amazing cmera for pro photgraphi and nice edit with that natural colors and effects,if u want a phone wth a flgship style and perfremnce but u dont want high price this phne is not the best but one of the best,realme gt neo 2,oneplus ace racing and realme gt master edition are in ur hands too,i wanted to buy the gt neo 2 but it wasnt available in my country,but this honor is more than a phone ,u have to try it
This phone competes well with the Nothing Phone 1. Pricing is amazing but I'd deduct points for the curves. Definitely a good big device for the masses. Worth the cost too.

Just bought this phone. Sadly, the built-in call recorder is removed. I have an Oppo and Realme both comes with built-in recorder which is very useful. I contacted Honor Service Centre they told me that for Malaysia version they have deliberately removed this app due to PDPA - but Oppo and Realme did not appear to have the same constrain.
Is going for this phone in Feb 2023 is still a good thing to do? If I get it with a discount at around RM1700 should I get it?? Or should I wait for Redmi Note 12 Pro to drop in March?
Thank´s for the video, but I wander why this is made up in a way, that there is no competition. I have Realme 9 pro plus with Imx766 sensor and the picures are amazing, because the software is optimized. So the comparsion would be more fear with a phone with better optimazed software with the Imx766 sensor.

Depends on which UI you like and how many years of android updates and security patches honor is offering. Because of this I switched to Samsung this year instead of poco.
tbh, I prefer the pics from the oppo, they have better dynamic range. On the other hand, honor pics have crushed shadows and applying too much oversharpening

not sure but have to check, he campared it with reno 8, not reno 8 pro, reno 8 doesnt have mari siliconX, only 8 pro has it, and as per my knowledge it is not a gimmick, I have seen videos of reno 8 pro, it has some advantages over other phones like 1. get gives better HDR almost everytime. 2. helps in low light video and you can check your video in the view finder of your phone bright up in low light, because of the addition mari siliconX. don't remember about low light photos but probably helps to reduce some noise in low light. one thing you need to understand is that it is an additional chip, so basically more power to the phone to apply theri image processing alogorithms, and more power also means better video quality. It might not consistently beat flagships overall but in some aspects it does better, so its not a gimmick and definitly has a wide scope for more improvement in the photos.
maybe if we have H70Pro (with GMS) then I will interested for the comparison, i saw a few discussion saying that H70pro only sell in China version which has no GMS 😢

Honor 70 has a lot of magneta shading banding issues on some of your photos with clouds. I get the same issue when i shoot DNG on my Nokia 6.1 with fast shutter speed.
